Job Description:
Company Profile JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical
support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force and
Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better
known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic,
integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's
war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's
missions and tomorrow's global challenges.
JOB SUMMARY
-- Essential Functions/Duties Working with general supervision, a
Finance/Budget Analyst I follows established accounting practices
and applies basic principles of accounting to ensure the proper and
accurate distribution of cost. Employee will be responsible to
perform the following functions/duties:
--- Prepare and analyze specific accounting statements and reports
to assist in the preparation of financial statements, tax reports,
and other internal and external reports
--- Conduct special accounting studies
--- Perform setup and maintenance of files within the existing
financial software and assist in the testing of financial
upgrades
--- Verify the proper distribution of charges to specific accounts
and contracts
--- Prepare monthly and yearly journal entries
--- Interface with government, corporate, and private auditors, as
needed
--- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll, vendor, or
expense reports
--- Apply learned knowledge of practices and procedures to deal
with issues or research problems that require further definition
before resolution
--- Maintain financial accounts, books, and reports in a current
acceptable condition
--- Review and audit records which include, but are not limited, to
general ledger and supporting journals of original entry maintained
for contract activities and reports, banks and banking records,
company and contract financial reports, and journal vouchers
--- Monitor posting and maintenance of financial books and records
and assure all supporting documents are adequate and properly
filed
--- Perform continuous audits of financial accounts to maintain
account integrity
--- Monitor operating cash requirements and review reconciliation
of all bank accounts
--- Perform other job-related duties, as required. Salary The
expected salary range for this position is $50,336 to $72,009.60.
Other Responsibilities Each employee must read, understand, and
implement the general and specific operational, safety, quality,
and environmental requirements of all plans, procedures, and
policies pertaining to their job. Working Conditions Work is
performed in a typical office environment with no unusual hazards.
Occasional lifting (up to 30 pounds); constant sitting and use of a
computer terminal; constant use of sight abilities while writing,
reviewing, and editing documents; constant use of speech/hearing
abilities for communication; and constant mental alertness are
required. Employee must be able to work duty days in excess of 8
hours and perform shift and weekend work to meet required schedule
demands. Travel to remote company work locations may be required.
Requirements -- Education, Technical, and Work Experience A
bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent formal training and
related experience are required for this position. In addition, a
Finance/Budget Analyst I must possess the following
qualifications:
--- Working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software
applications
--- Ability to perform detail-oriented work
--- Good verbal and written communication skills
--- Planning/organizational skills
--- Ability to work under deadlines
--- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
