Auditor will assist the Internal Audit Manager in the execution of
risk assessments, SOX, operational audits, and other internal audit
projects to promote and ensure a strong financial and business
control environment. They will work proactively with external
auditors, collaborate with other departments, and perform various
other internal audit related responsibilities as requested by
management. Essential Duties:Plan and execute risk-based internal
audits in accordance with professional standards and
guidelines.Evaluate and test the effectiveness of internal
controls, including IT General controls.Identify and drive
opportunities to streamline and/or reduce design and test
efforts.Establish tracking mechanisms to help ensure action plans
are monitored to completion.Identify and communicate control
weaknesses and improvement opportunities to management.Work closely
with external auditors in the execution of the SOX audit.Work
collaboratively with other departments to develop and implement
action plans to address identified risks and control
deficiencies.Assist in the preparation of audit reports and other
documentation for presentation to senior management and the Audit
Committee.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting, or
related field.At least 3-4 complete years of relevant experience in
internal audit, with knowledge of SOX and operational
audits.Excellent communication and creative problem-solving
skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively, as
required, in a fast-paced, matrixed, team environment consisting of
internal and external team members.Desired Qualities:Experience in
a Big 4 or other large public accounting firm or in the Internal
Audit department of a publicly traded company preferred.Experience
in evaluating IT General controls and systems.Strong analytical and
problem-solving skills.Experience utilizing SAP and/or
AuditBoard.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with
the ability to present complex information to non-technical
audiences.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a
team environment, multi-task, prioritize competing projects, ana
manage requests/assignments in a timely manner.Professional
certification such as CIA, CISA, or CPA.MP Materials is Proud to be
