professionally with us.The Manager of Financial Reporting serves as
a critical role managing the Financial Reporting team, which is
primarily responsible for the preparation, review and filing of
quarterly and annual filings with the Securities and Exchange
Commission (SEC), including 10-Ks, 10-Qs, earnings releases (and
related materials) and other SEC filings and/or required reports.
In addition, the Manager of Financial Reporting will be involved in
functions like equity compensation management; Environmental,
Social and Governance (ESG) reporting; and accounting systems and
consolidations/investments. They will work proactively with
external auditors to drive timely resolution of accounting and
reporting matters, collaborate with other departments, and perform
various other financial responsibilities as requested by
management. Essential Duties: Facilitate and manage the preparation
of SEC filings, including tracking the completion of tasks to meet
filing deadlines; preparation and/or detailed review of financial
statements, footnote disclosures, MD&A, and relevant disclosure
and SEC checklists; and preparation and/or review of supporting
schedules and documentation. Manage calculations and analyses to
support earnings per share and stock-based compensation
calculations. Prepare quarterly financial statement analytics.
Prepare and/or review the XBRL tagging for all quarterly filings,
ensuring the use of best practices and proper tagging in accordance
with GAAP guidelines. Assist with and/or manage the administration
of our equity compensation programs by preparing and recording
equity transactions. Assist with and/or perform duties related to
master data management; maintenance of reporting hierarchies and
system reports; consolidations; and other accounting systems
management tasks, including potential system implementations and
reporting building. Work closely and directly with external
auditors in the execution of the audit and quarterly reviews, as it
relates to the SEC filings, supporting documentation, and SOX
compliance. Ensure maintenance of and compliance with appropriate
internal controls and financial procedures in compliance with SOX,
including recommendations for improvements. Build and maintain
cross-functional and collaborative relationships with colleagues
across Accounting and Finance, Operational Departments, Legal,
Procurement, IT and others
Other Functions: Continuously assess current practices and
procedures, and make recommendations for improvements, including
the use of technology to help automate workflows and reduce
inefficiencies. Assist with the preparation of technical accounting
memos as well as the updates to and management of the accounting
policy manual, as requested. Assist with research, assessment, and
implementation of complex accounting issues and new accounting
pronouncements, especially as they relate to the impact on
financial statements and disclosure requirements. May assist with
tasks related to ESG reporting, including data gathering and
reviews. Provide support to other accounting and operations
departments related to ad-hoc questions Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Deep
knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC rules and regulation, and financial
statement preparation. 4+ years of relevant work experience,
preferably public accounting and/or financial reporting. Active CPA
license. Desired Qualities: A proactive approach to problem
identification and remediation solutions. Excellent organizational,
analytical, and problem-solving skills; strategic thinker. Ability
to lead and coordinate a complete project from inception to
completion, incorporating feedback from multiple sources and
stakeholders, including ability to manage tight deadlines and
interpret operational needs. Ability to perform independent
research of the impact of GAAP, accounting pronouncements and other
relevant guidance on the company's financial statements and
disclosures, reporting requirements and accounting treatment.
Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills;
strong interpersonal skills are essential to work with all levels
of management, peers and subordinates. Experience in training,
developing and mentoring staff; demonstrated leadership abilities
Highly driven and self-motivated, with a hands-on approach to
ensure high-quality deliverables are produced timely. Ability to
multi-task, prioritize competing projects, and manage
requests/assignments in a timely manner. Highly proficient in
Microsoft Office Suite; working knowledge of accounting software
systems, including consolidations, and XBRL.
