Job Title:AVP Portfolio Manager, DepositsLocation:West
SaharaWhat you'll do:The position of Portfolio Manager is
responsible for identifying a target market for new business and
subsequently developing and establishing a book of new business
from those relationships. The position is responsible for the
prescreening, negotiating, and coordination of the closing of a
variety of major and complex deposit relationships and actively
sells the bank's treasury management products.What we are looking
for:
- Performs basic pre-qualification assessment and prescreening
analysis of financial condition for new potential deposit
relationships.
- Gathers all information necessary to present a deposit or
treasury management opportunity to senior management for approval;
meets with new/potential customers; visiting sites of loans; sells
bank's deposit and treasury management products; refers and
recommends acceptance to BSA department if required.
- Identifies loan opportunities within deposit client portfolio
and engages appropriate lending team early in the process.
- Maintains a superior knowledge of financial industry status and
trends.
- Consistently applies superior decision making techniques
pertaining to inquiries, approvals, requests as they apply to
existing policies and procedures.
- Responds timely to inbound inquiries, answers questions and
directs callers to proper Bank personnel.
- Complies with Bank Secrecy Act ("BSA"), OFAC Anti-Money
Laundering ("AML"), and US PATRIOT ACT policies, procedures, by
properly verifying the identity of any person/business opening an
account, maintaining records of the information used to verify each
customer and consulting lists of known suspected terrorists before
opening an account.Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree from a 4 year college or university degree,
preferably in Finance or Accounting
- Minimum 3- 4 years experience in banking (commercial banking is
highly preferred)
- Strong portfolio management skills allowing for timely
identification of credit concerns by bringing items of concern to
the Relationship Managers attention; outstanding presentation,
verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team
environment.
- Excellent ability to juggle multiple credit requests at
once.
- Self-starter, entrepreneurial attitude and an upbeat positive
outlook.Compensation: Salary range for new hires is generally
$95,000.00 - $115,000.00 for Las Vegas, NV. Salary amount is
determined by specific job location. In addition, the role may be
eligible for annual bonus/incentives earned and restricted
