taxes. Position SummaryThe Executive Coordinator provides
administrative support to the Executive Director, Chief Operating
Officer, Chief Administrative Officer, Chief Housing Officer, and
the Board of Commissioners. The incumbent is responsible for
day-to-day operations, screening calls, and visitors and acts as a
liaison to the Southern Nevada Regional Housing Authority, the
community, and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development. The incumbent exercises supervision over lower-level
staff. Duties and ResponsibilitiesThis announcement summarizes

for performing the following duties and responsibilities, with or
without reasonable accommodation. Performs advanced administrative
support functions as dictated by the nature of the assigned
department, i.e., payroll processing, preparing meeting agendas,
maintaining and balancing expenditure/budget accounts, and
coordinating and maintaining project and executive calendars as
required. Compiles and organizes information and materials for
meetings; attends such meetings and records and prepares official
minutes for distribution in an accurate and timely manner. Prepares
reports, memoranda, correspondence, policies, and other written
materials as needed and transcribes dictation accurately and
timely. Screens all incoming calls, visitors, and mail; responds to
sensitive requests for information and assistance; resolves tenant
concerns and complaints or refers to appropriate staff; researches
and compiles information in response to requests; ensures the
Executive Director, COO, CAO, CHO, and General Counsel are kept
informed of complaints. Responds to questions and correspondence
from residents, city, state, and HUD personnel; provide information
to SNRHA staff in accordance with Housing Authority policy and
procedures. Ensures that HUD deadlines on various projects are met.
Coordinates meeting agendas for Board of Commissioners meetings;
prepares meeting notices; coordinates meeting logistics; prepares
minutes; follows up on meeting requests from Commissioners or the
public in accordance with State and Housing Authority standards.
Acts as liaison to other Housing Authority personnel, City
officials, and the public as required. Interprets Housing Authority
policies, rules, and regulations in response to routine inquiries
and complaints; refers inquiries as appropriate. Maintains,
updates, follows, and keeps delegated tasks and projects on
schedule to ensure administrative progress to deadlines. Prepares,
posts, and advertises agendas and notices of official/public
meetings as required by established law within the department and
other areas for public viewing. Establishes appointments, mails out
letters, and updates the files as required. Assists in monitoring
the department's budget and completes independent projects as
assigned. Files and retrieves various records, files, forms,
reports, correspondence, and/or related department documentation as
directed. Gathers information and analyzes issues for special
projects as assigned. Complies with SNRHA and department rules,
policies, procedures, and practices. Coordinates travel
arrangements for meetings, conferences, and public functions in
accordance with Housing Authority policy and procedures.
Demonstrates courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting
with clients, visitors, and SNRHA staff, supporting the
relationship between SNRHA and the constituent population. This
position is NOT eligible for participation in the collective
bargaining unit (SEIU), which represents certain Southern Nevada
Regional Housing Authority employees. Minimum QualificationsMinimum
qualifications are intended to identify applicants most likely to
perform successfully on the job. Applicants who meet minimum

should possess the following: High school diploma or GED.Five (5)
years of progressively responsible executive-level secretarial or
administrative support.Excellent communication, problem-solving,
crisis management, time management, and organizational skills.Valid
Nevada State-issued Driver's License and a satisfactory driving
record. Preferred QualificationsPreferred qualifications are
desired qualifications above and beyond minimum qualifications that
demonstrate additional education, experience, training, or other
credentials. Preference may be given to applicants who possess the
following preferred qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business
administration, organizational development, public administration,
finance, or a related field.Experience working with a housing
authority, government, or social service agency.Experience working
with vulnerable populations.Bilingual skills (English/Spanish).
