Associate Director - Full Stack Software Engineer (Office or Remote)

Job Description:

Role/Responsibilities

The software engineer is a full stack developer that develops software in an agile way by collaborating with team members and by aligning with business to "build the right thing". They have a range of responsibilities from shaping and implementing strategic products to ensuring that the products are on the leading edge of technology. They also contribute across the technology stack, from database and DevOps infrastructure that supports continuous deployment, to native apps.

Responsibilities
Develop creative and efficient solutions that provide business value by using agile engineering practices and various software and web development technologies
Ensure product vision is brought to reality through writing code in the enterprise software environment that integrates with the enterprise architecture
Collaborate with other agile team members to craft clear user stories, design tests for prototypes and products, and continuously deliver product enhancements
Align and integrate deliverables with architects, designers and other stakeholders
Develop distinctive code/scripts and configurations by participating in code reviews and communicating with other developers across delivery teams, both through ad hoc problem solving and through sprint planning
Provide technical support to all development environments and production environment.
Develop secure solutions by incorporating considerations for business context, failure modes, monitoring, compliance and security in its work
Ensure expectations are managed around delivery methods and timelines through communicating and disseminating agile processes with business stakeholders
Demonstrate and validate developed functionality by continuously collaborating with Designers to translate user feedback into technical requirements

Qualifications
5-10 years of software development experience, with knowledge of Agile software and web development processes
Excellent understanding of Java Springboot and JOOQ database frameworks, React framework, PostgreSQL database, Docker container
Infrastructure knowledge including RESTful APIs, Single Sign On, AD, AWS lambda cloud platform
Hands-on DevOps experience with GitHub actions release management
Experience with code refactoring, design patterns, design-driven development, continuous deployment, highly scalable applications, application security
Expert in pair programming, continuous integration, test-driven development and incremental design
