Summary
As an AWS DevOps Engineer III, you will help improve automation, infrastructure reliability, and enable engineering teams to use new technologies in a scalable, reliable, and highly available way. You will oversee and lead the activities junior DevOps engineers. You'll be responsible for the automation of all manual tasks for the building and deployment of both code and data to enable continuous integration and continuous deployment frameworks to AWS cloud environments.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Work with Architecture and Engineering teams to plan, deploy, and maintain software applications in AWS cloud environments.
Work closely with the software development team to define, build, and design DevOps Continuous Integration/Continuous Development pipelines for multiple applications.
Support and sustain the Development AWS infrastructure.
Design and develop automation whenever the opportunity arises.
Perform system administration duties.
Plan and document disaster recovery steps as well as generate postmortem reports.
Investigate and prototype new tools for the improvement of software development processes.
Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Must be able to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
5+ years' experience administering one or more Linux distributions.
Knowledge of traditional server concepts (networking, storage, security).
5+ years' experience with Linux administration, troubleshooting, performance tuning & security in a production environment.
AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate / Professional.
AWS Certified SysOps Associate / DevOps Professional.
Ability to communicate with clients on a business level and translate their needs into a technical solution.
Experience with security best practices.
Experience with log aggregation strategies.
Experience with NoSQL (MongoDb) and SQL (PostgreSQL and MySQL) databases.
Knowledge of Splunk and AppDynamics is a plus.

Special Skills
Minimum of 3 years' experience working within a DevSecOps/DevOps environment, utilizing AWS services, solutions, and provisioning/automating AWS infrastructure, services, and tools.
Minimum of 3 years working with Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation/CodePipeline or Terraform preferred).
Proven experience with AWS platform and tools, such as EC2, Lambda, S3, ECS, RDS, RDS, VPC, IAM and security, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, Systems Manager, SNS, AMI generation, Cost Optimization.
Experience in designing and developing DevOps pipeline/automation scripts to support continuous integration & continuous delivery (CI/CD) using Agile processes.
Strong practical knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Gitlab Jenkins, Bamboo, SonarQube, Artifactory, CodeDeploy and others.
Solid experience with Docker image/container primitives and orchestration suites (e.g., ECS, EKS, Kubernetes, ECR, Fargate, etc.).
Experience with configuration management automation platforms (e.g. Systems Manager, Chef, Puppet, or Ansible).
Strong scripting skills with one or more languages (e.g. Bash, Python, Ruby, PowerShell, etc.).
Be able to work independently and proactively with little supervision, but also must work well with others in a team environment.
Must be analytical and able to problem solve for technical issues.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
Demonstrated ability to perform diverse duties while operating under time constraints.
Demonstrated accuracy and thoroughness; monitors own work to ensure quality.

TRAVEL
Travel up to 25% possible, but not anticipated.
Driving Requirements
Must have or be able to attain a valid state driver's license and be insurable on the company's automobile insurance policy. Driving, with or without accommodation, may be required when traveling for training and/or short occasional amounts of local driving. The expected driving time is less than 25%.
