Our medical group provides home-based medical care to chronically ill patients, many of whom are ill-equipped to navigate our overwhelming healthcare system. Landmark Health is hiring a new Lead Site Reliability Engineer to build, operate and continuously improve the Ubiquity production environment. Ubiquity is Landmark Health's internal electronic health records software that powers our business. In this role you will building software and systems to manage infrastructure and Ubiquity provider/patient facing applications through automation. You will partner closely with development teams to design, build, deploy, support and monitor existing and new Ubiquity applications and services. You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Ubiquity and corresponding services have reliability and uptime appropriate to users needs and a fast rate of improvement while staying mindful of capacity and performance
  • Build creative engineering solutions to operations and infrastructure problems, focusing on optimizing existing systems, building infrastructure, and eliminating work through automation. Determine how our systems relate to each other and use a breadth of tools and approaches to solve a variety of problems
  • Define and implement standards and best practices related to: System Architecture, Deployment, metrics, monitoring/observability and operational tasks
  • Build a culture of diversity, intellectual curiosity, problem-solving, and openness
  • Manage, innovate, and create designs for software that drives improvements to the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of Ubiquity and related services
  • Work cross-functionally with product area leads to guide product engineering, and collaborate with developers
  • Contribute to team growth by providing advice, mentoring and coaching to other engineers with positivity and enthusiasm
  • Experience analyzing and troubleshooting distributed systems You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications:
    • Undergraduate degree in applicable area of expertise or equivalent experience
    • 10+ years of experience in engineering and technical development
    • 6+ years hands on experience in Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps
    • Experience in configuration and maintenance of applications such as web servers, load balancers, non-relational databases, storage systems and messaging systems
    • Experience with MongoDB performance tuning, design, backups, and security implementations
    • Expert in data structures, algorithms and analysis
    • Demonstrated skills in multiple coding/scripting languages and able to select the appropriate language given the business need
    • Demonstrated technical leadership for an enterprise SaaS service Preferred Qualifications:
      • Experience with configuration and deployment management tools (e.g. Terraform)
      • Experience with operating systems and TCP/IP network fundamentals
      • Experience learning software, frameworks and APIs
      • Experience with public cloud applications and services (Azure or similar public cloud platform)
      • Experience with Containerization Technologies (Docker, Kubernetes or similar)
      • Experience with Microsoft and Linux Technologies

The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $113,500 to $218,100.
