A well-established company is seeking a Mechanic who can provide repairs, equipment installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and support services. Pay: $21-32/hr depending on experience-additional per diem when traveling Description:Will be performing repairs and maintenance of vehicles and equipment with minimal supervision. Performs complex tasks such as diagnostics and repair of air, electrical, hydraulics, and fuel systems.This includes all types if machinery: 3512 CAT CUMMINS QSK 50 (tier 2/4)--- Diagnoses, rebuilds, and repairs vehicles and equipment with minimal supervision. --- Performs inspections and preventive maintenance of vehicles and equipment, oil changes. (Need to be okay with doing it all, not just working on engines) --- Performs advanced troubleshooting and repair of air, electrical, hydraulics, and fuel systems. --- Assists, mentors, and trains other maintenance and/or Mechanic I employees. --- Prepares and maintains records and reports accurately. Top Skills:--- Troubleshooting--- Diagnostic testing--- Automotive repair--- Mechanical Additional Skills & Qualifications: --- High school education or equivalent preferred. --- Minimum of one (1) year work related skill, knowledge, and hands on experience or vocational training preferred. --- Promotion eligibility to Mechanic II or III is based on work performance and skills once they are converted and begin skills trainings online. Heavy lifting is exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.Work EnvironmentWorking inside the manufacturing facility with temperature changes. Once converted to a permanent employee, will then be transitioned to field work on client sites as well as in the shop.
