Visit us online at www.arcxis.com.General Overview:We are seeking a licensed electrical engineer who will be primarily responsible for the review and approval of design and engineering for residential and non-residential electrical systems and components. As a senior member of the engineering team, you work on planning projects, managing document review, and determining approval of the work of junior engineers or designers before production or implementation. A PE electrical engineer must inspect existing electrical components and systems, to mentor/train the electrical design team; and approve the creation of construction documents, design reports, technical documents. As a national engineering and design firm we require multi-state PE credentials. Essential responsibilities/skills-- Electrical Engineering degree from ABET accredited university, and 7+ years design experience with proven competency with designing for residential and commercial buildings. -- PE credentials in 7+ states, and ability/drive to gain credential in all operational regionso Required PE state: AZ, CA, CO, FL, ID, NV, TX, WA.o Additional operational states: (AR, GA, IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, MI, MN, MS, MO, MT, NM, NC, OH, OK, OR, SC, TN, UT, WI)-- Detailed understanding of NEC code and applicable state electrical code. Ability review, report and retain code specific knowledge for state/jurisdiction level construction document submittals.-- Review, comment, and sign and seal designs prepared by the electrical engineering team-- Assist in setting the SOP for the department-- Resolve field issues at the highest level-- Strong written and oral communication skills.-- Self-starter and perform assignments with minimal supervision.-- A valid driver's license without travel time restrictions.-- Ability to work independently, exercise good judgment, and be resourceful-- Exhibits a strong executive presence and has high level of interpersonal and presentation skills-- Team player with positive and energetic attitude-- Be willing to learn and adapt to inevitable company policy and procedural changes -- High level of quantitative and qualitative research and analytical skills-- Proficient in AUTOCAD-- Prior experience report writing is preferred but not required-- Experience in construction defects and deficiencies-- Proficient in MS office **ARCXIS rates are contingent on skill set, experience, and geographical location of the position.
