Local Unit & Position DescriptionDNV - Energy's Sustainable Energy Use - PDI group is seeking a Business Development and Outreach Manager to lead energy efficiency business development, outreach, communications, and marketing efforts for commercial & industrial customers for the NV Energy Business Energy Services programs. The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for working with the utility client and internal teams to develop the business development and outreach strategy for the Nevada market and driving customer, contractor, and trade ally engagement in energy efficiency programs. This role will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of outreach objectives; overseeing the outreach teams; developing strategic partnerships to drive growth objectives for trade allies and distributors; develop and manage strategic partnerships with industry trade associations, community organizations, and industry associations; developing and executing training & event strategy plans; develop creative marketing to include print, web, and email communications. In addition, this role will lead the development of all public-facing marketing materials, training/event materials, and ad campaigns.This position will be based in our DNV office in Las Vegas, Nevada.What You'll Do

  • Direct, lead, and oversee energy efficiency outreach activities and program promotion campaigns to drive energy efficiency investment with business customers
  • Lead the Nevada outreach team providing training & education, overseeing job expectations and performance, individual outreach goals and targets
  • Develop, implement, and manage Trade Ally strategy plan
  • Monitor, support, and grow Trade Ally program participation
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators to drive program participation from outreach teams
  • Write and edit marketing materials to the extent needed to produce client-ready drafts and final deliverables. This process could include developing new content to substantially rewriting new content following our utility client branding style guidelines
  • Ability to work with a graphic designer to develop concepts into published deliverables
  • Prepare outreach outcomes and annual forecast for leadership and client reporting
  • Provide direct assistance to customers, key accounts, and contractors regarding energy savings opportunities to promote program offerings.
  • Analyze and summarize data and trends within commercial & industrial market segments to identify opportunities to engage market and grow program participation
  • Manage & develop territory, key account, and trade ally partnership assignments for outreach teams
  • Manage and track outreach and marketing campaigns, opportunities, activities, and contacts using Dynamic CRM system
  • Provide weekly and monthly reporting for customer touches, project leads, and application submissions
  • Attend tradeshows, technical training events, local meetings, and association events as necessary to educate on the value of energy efficiency to promote program participation
  • Collaborate with internal and external marketing teams to develop program documents, presentations, marketing and promotional materials, web pages, and other program collateral.
  • Oversee execution of marketing strategy plan in alignment with outreach strategy plan
  • Collaborate and support internal creative marketing teams to grow program participation.
  • Conduct program presentations to inform customers of energy service offeringsPosition QualificationsWhat is Required
    • Bachelor's degree or higher in Sales, Business Management, Marketing, or related field
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in similar sales or business development position, with significant professional experience managing sales/outreach strategies to achieve growth goals
    • Minimum 3 years of management experience including direct supervision of sales team
    • Experience in a consulting environment is desired
    • Excellent people skills and outgoing personality
    • Advanced interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
    • Strong problem-solving skill set and sales mindset
    • Demonstrated leadership ability
    • Advanced skills in MS Word and Adobe InDesign
    • The knowledge to provide strategic guidance and work directly with our client's corporate communications team
    • Willingness and ability to travel, up to 20% of the time
    • Must possess reliable transportation
    • The willingness and ability to work extra hours/weekends when necessary
    • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
    • We conduct pre-employment drug and background screeningWhat is Preferred
      • Experience with utility and/or energy efficiency programs
      • Experience working with or for ad agencies
      • Experience in a consulting environment
      • Working knowledge of Constant Contact, EventBrite and Google Analytics (or similar)
