Scope

The VP of Hospitality will participate in, influence and contribute to Spiegelworlds BEAF (Beverage, Entertainment, Art & Food) experience. This position will be responsible for helping to shape, open and execute new concepts as well as honing our current operations, ensuring an exceptional guest experience and expertly run operation. This individual is a hospitality driver and experienced food and beverage leader. This individual must be a passionate, hands-on leader and brand champion who can get the best out of people and continually drive operational performance and execution. The VP of Hospitality will work closely with the executive team and general managers at each outlet and manage the hospitality department including but not limited to the Spiegelworld Executive Chef and Spiegelworld Beverage Director. This position reports directly to the Executive Vice President.

Responsibilities

  • Provides overall leadership to the Food, Beverage and Hospitality division.
  • Directs the research, development, evaluation, and implementation of new products, services, promotions, equipment, technology, processes, and concepts for new and existing venues which contribute to our competitive position.
  • Develops solid relationships with business partners to ensure all offerings align with standards and maximize profitability.
  • Directs Food & Beverage management to ensure solid business practices that produce quality results, remain within budgetary constraints, and meet targeted deadlines.
  • Develops, recommends and monitors budgets & objectives to ensure management meets performance goals and achieves both short-term and long-term profitability.
  • Develops and implements a business plan for the Food, Beverage and Hospitality division that is aligned with Spiegelworlds overall strategic direction.
  • Develops cost proposals for equipment, systems, and procedural changes as required.
  • Establishes guidelines for proper staffing to maximize efficiency and minimize labor costs, while supporting commitment to service excellence.
  • Creates a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction.
  • Oversees the development, interpretation and implementation of all directives, training programs, menus, and work schedules.
  • Ensures the accountability and compliance of company and division policies and procedures, collective bargaining agreements, and all local, state, and federal legal requirements.
  • Other job-related duties as requested.

    Requirements
    • Minimum 7-10 years of Food & Beverage management experience, with at least 3 year in a senior leadership role. Bachelors Degree in Hospitality Management is preferred.
    • High level of computer literacy.
    • Understanding of financial concepts and sound business practices.
    • Experience opening restaurants or bars, including training and setting standards.
    • A highly motivated and energetic personality with a strong commitment to excellence in hospitality.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts, guests, and team members including Management, fellow employees and guests.
    • Working knowledge of health and safety regulations.
    • Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance.
    • Proven people management, motivation, and development skills to be an inspirational leader to your team. Experience managing union staff is a plus.
    • Passion for ensuring you and your team deliver the highest standards consistently and ensuring that the guest is at the center of the experience.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in an always changing, never dull, creative environment that creates memorable moments.
    • Possesses excellent communication (written and verbal), financial acumen and business management abilities.
    • Following a conditional offer of employment, able to show proof of being fully vaccinated, able to get vaccinated within 7 days, or have a qualifying medical or religious exception.
    • Willing to participate in employer-paid COVID-19 Mitigation protocols which include weekly testing and onsite screening.
    • Must have valid work authorization for the US.
