Job Description We---re searching for a Director of Financial Reporting. Responsibilities Prepare and document the SOX control environment to be compliant with PCAOB standards Lead the preparation and drafting of financial statements, MD&A, and disclosures to meet the company's quarterly and annual SEC reporting requirements and statutory reporting requirements Report and manage all equity-based transactions and compensation Monitor the development and applicability of emerging accounting and reporting standards and perform technical research on accounting issues and new accounting standards impacting the SEC reporting process Support the drafting of new footnote requirements and the establishment, documentation, and maintenance of accounting policies Coordinate with external auditors and manage the flow of information and documentation Analyze goodwill for impairment annually Requirements Bachelor---s degree in accounting or finance 8 years of experience in a financial institution performing accounting or financial reporting Big 4 experience and SEC reporting experience with a large, publicly traded company Certified Public Accountant Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC accounting and reporting requirements Strong experience with SOX 404 and internal control over financial reporting Advanced proficiency with extensible business reporting language (XBRL), particularly Workiva (formerly Webfilings)
