SummaryThe Manager of Stations Safety reports directly to the
Senior Manager of Safety. This position focuses on the development
and execution of strategic and tactical plans that continuously
improve a safety-conscious culture. This position requires strong
leadership and supervisory skills while interfacing with all
operational departments and workgroups within the Company. The
Manager of Stations Safety engages industry safety groups, and
counterparts to advance aviation safety. This position requires air
carrier line experience, knowledge of human factors and aviation
safety concepts, and a working knowledge of current aviation
regulatory guidance and safety management systems (SMS).

Minimum RequirementsCombination of Education and Experience will be
considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the
Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background
Check.Education: Bachelor's DegreeEducation Details:Bachelor's
degree in an aviation related field or equivalent related work
experience.
Years of Experience:Minimum five (5) years of experience in
aviation.
*Experience dealing with safety, occupational, and environmental
laws, rules, and regulations.*Prior experience in conducting
investigations.*Ability to work well with others and communicate
effectively with team members at all levels.*Professional demeanor,
excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.*Proficient in
the use of PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office Products.*Strong
knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations and related
requirements.*Ability to read, write, and speak English in order to
receive and understand instructions, directives, ensuring safety,
as well as the ability to interact with customers, is a requirement
of the job.
Preferred Requirements*Extensive experience in hazard
identifications, root cause analysis, risk management, and
mitigation.*Ability to complete agent and regulatory training and
maintain currency.
Job Duties*Identify safety and environmental hazards, risks, and
promote the reduction or elimination of potentially hazardous
conditions that may lead to accidents, occupational injuries,
illnesses, deaths, and safety-related.*Coordinate all
safety-related activities within the requirements of Allegiant
safety program policies, and federal regulations to ensure
regulatory compliance.*Report and investigate aircraft, ground
operations accidents, and incidences to determine the cause of the
event and formulate recommendations to help prevent similar mishaps
in the future.*Provide clear, concise, and meaningful written
reports for all ground/aviation safety and environmental
matters.*Develop required reports, conduct briefings, safety
training, and when directed conduct safety stand down
meetings.*Facilitate interdepartmental communication related to
safety such as Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP),
interdepartmental safety/event reporting, and other safety
management-related initiatives.*Serve in the position of ASAP
manager for Stations and supervises the day-to-day operation of the
Stations ASAP program, processing, reviewing, and analyzing data
from reports.*Provide adequate resources and information to aid the
ERC in determining the appropriate course of action.*Compile
reports and briefing to present Stations ASAP program.*Update and
maintain the Stations ASAP Memorandum of Understanding.*Manage
content of manuals that are related to Stations Safety
Programs.*Develop Safety promotion content for Stations team
members.*Conduct base visits to promote positive safety
culture.*Perform self-audits on a regular basis to ensure programs
and associated functions are performing at the intended
level.*Manage Stations Operations Safety Promotion
program.*Interact with Stations Training, Policy, Procedures, and
Operations Teams to recommend and facilitate the integration of
safety best practices within new policies, checklists, procedure
manuals and guides.*Function as the lead investigator for stations
safety events.*Employ human factor analysis and best practices in
evaluating safety data and root causes.*Perform airport risk
management and various airport safety-related initiatives and
projects.*Attend industry working groups and committees.*Review
and, when applicable to Allegiant Stations operations, implement
current best practices from regulatory and industry
sources.*Responsible for the Allegiant Stations safety data
collection and collaboration with the International Air Transport
Association's (IATA) Ground Damage Database (GDDB).*Effectively
utilize the IATA GDDB to proactively identify trends, best
practices, and emerging threats.*Perform duties as an active member
of the Emergency Response team when requested.*Supervise the
Stations Safety Specialist in matters of safety investigations and
daily tasks.*Oversee the Stations Safety Intern in various ad hoc
projects assigned in support of the Stations Safety team.*Support
SMS initiatives.*Serve as a Stations Safety resource for all
departments and Team Members.*Ensure any direct reports understand
and apply our Customer Commitment and customer service standards to
their daily responsibilities, as appropriate.*Model Allegiant's
customer service standards in personal actions and when providing
leadership direction.*Other duties as assigned.

Member is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach,

carry up to 20 lbs. May be required to work various shifts/days in
a 24-hour situation. Regular attendance is a requirement of the
role. Exposure to moderate noise (i.e. business office with
computers, phones, printers, and foot traffic), temperature and
light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as
the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of
time. Some travel may be a requirement of the role.
