Job Description:
Bicycle Transit Systems (Bike Transit) is a Philadelphia-based
woman-owned business whose mission is to operate bike share systems
that create connections in our communities and protect our planet.
In partnership with the Regional Transportation Commission of
Southern Nevada (RTC), the RTC Bike Share system was launched in
downtown Las Vegas in 2016 with approximately 20 stations and 200
bikes and is preparing for additional growth in 2023. We are
currently looking for a dedicated and talented General Manager to
run the RTC Bike Share program! Working closely with the CEO and
COO, the General Manager is a key leadership position serving as
the local team leader to operations and marketing staff members and
in close coordination with the RTC program managers. This position
requires someone who can roll up their sleeves and get dirty one
day and join RTC on-site for a meeting the next. The General
Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the program from
operations and marketing to all aspects of financial oversight and
client management. ? Core responsibilities: Strategic Alignment &
Program Management
- Develop and support strong working relationships between local
Bike Transit staff and RTC program managers.
- Lead the development of local system goals and strategy in
collaboration with local staff, Bike Transit central team, RTC, and
other key stakeholders.
- Participate in the development and implementation of equitable
bike share initiatives in partnership with RTC, Bike Transit
central team, and other key stakeholders.
- Oversee and manage stakeholder relationships for the RTC bike
share; support relationships with program sponsor, elected
officials, other core partners
- Oversee strategic management and implementation of long-term
system growth
- Ensure all?contractual?performance metrics?of the bike share
system?are met, and where needed, improved
- Lead collaboration, communication and alignment of local system
initiatives with Bike Transit Central strategy; ensure Bike Transit
mission, vision, values and company goals are embraced at the local
level.
- Ensure ongoing oversight and management of city assets,
contractual obligations, company policies including strict
adherence to safety policies and procedures. Team Leadership &
Performance Management
- Hire, train, schedule and manage workforce to accomplish system
goals and service benchmarks
- Oversee Operating, Marketing, and Customer Service initiatives
to align strategies with system goals; coordinate collaboration and
integration of work between functions
- Set clear expectations for outcomes and productivity, and
successfully lead the team to deliver on them; monitor and ensure
performance
- Provide oversight on the development and implementation of
safety programming and protocols; ensure staff are trained on all
safety?procedures and are followed accordingly?
- Cultivate a culture of radical candor by providing timely and
direct feedback to team members; invite feedback from team
members?
- Complete regular performance check-ins and provide ongoing
feedback to all direct reports; provide oversight on
performance-based discussions, include goals and professional
development, for all Operations staff.??
- Build the culture of the RTC team in alignment with Bike
Transit's mission, vision and values and Diversity, Equity,
Inclusion and Justice (DEIJ) goals including supporting and
participating in employee committees such as DEIJ, safety and
environmental action
- Support the scalable growth of the team by developing and
enabling the success of each member of the RTC team.
- Escalate issues from department to Central Operations, IT, HR
or CEO, as necessary. Financial Management:
- Develop and manage local budget; collaborate with finance team
on financial forecasting, including operating expenses and
revenues.
- Analyze financial performance to identify areas for
improvement; develop plans in collaboration with key stakeholders
and implement.
- Collaborate with client on financial matters.Core Competencies:

events. Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- College degree in business administration, transportation or
related field a plus.
- 5+ years of demonstrated success in leading teams, developing
and retaining key employees
- Prior experience championing and participating in diversity,
equity, inclusion and justice principles and practices.
- Prior experience managing a budget including P&L
responsibility.
- Strong computer aptitude: high?proficiency?in Microsoft 365
applications?and prior project management
software?utilization.
- Experience working with government, businesses, and non-profits
strongly preferred.
- Passion for bikes or sustainability a plus! Physical
Requirements and Special Demands:
- This position's work schedule is currently 34 hours per week
(four days per week, 8.5 hours per day) under our Reduced Work Week
pilot program. Due to the nature of the position, it may require
hours that exceed 8.5 hours per day and/or 34 hours per week.
- Must be able?to perform field visits?and travel
to?client/vendor meetings?
- This role requires an on-site presence in the office to address
ad-hoc, in-person requests and personnel matters. Working a shift
from home can be accommodated on occasion, depending on department

- This job operates in a professional office located in a
warehouse environment. This role routinely uses standard office
equipment such as computers and digital screens?
- Must be able to lift up to 20lbs.?
- This role requires the ability to speak clearly so listeners

details of objects that are less than a few feet away, stand or sit
for several hours straight at a time, and bend or stoop as
necessary.?
