Manager Summary:Supervise and direct all aspects of the community
field operations from inception to movein. Coordinates with office
and maintains accurate written records.Responsibilities
- Oversight of multiple communities to ensure standards,
specifications, and deadlines are met; promote efficient, effective
planning, and control of all projects.
- Supervise, problem-solve, and provide guidance and direction to
onsite Construction Managers.
- Provide weekly reports of progress, problem resolution, safety
meetings, SWPPP management and other reports for efficient project
management and control.
- Supervise and direct all aspects of construction.
- Responsible for adhering to schedules and indirect
expenditures.
- Ensure the workmanship of all work by performing quality
control inspections and approving trade partner's work.
- Ensure work is in compliance with city or county jurisdictional
requirements and building codes.
- Maintain records of all changes on the community, such as
change orders, purchase orders and red line plans.
- Responsible for all inspections and corresponding
paperwork.
- Approve all trade partner work approvals with regard to work
completion and quality.
- Maintain daily log of all occurrences on the community.
- Coordinate with Purchasing Department regarding budgets and
quality of trade partners.
- Coordinate with division managers from various departments
regarding plans and specifications.
- Responsible for the community and inventory homes.
- Coordinate with New Home Consultants on delivery schedule and
community status weekly.
- Coordinate compliance with conditions of maps and conditions of
occupancy.
- Responsible for quality control in construction.
- Responsible for training and supervising Construction Field
Assistants.
- Responsible for all community organization, files systems,
records and archive information.
- Responsible for completion of quality control checklists, pre
drywall orientations, and final quality control walks on all
homes.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.Qualifications
- Eight (8) years of experience in construction or related field
experience required
- High school diploma or GED preferred, but will accept
equivalent work experience
- Valid driver's license
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Intermediate ability in CRM (warranty usage) and Build Pro
- Ability to motivate and direct workers
- High degree of construction knowledge
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Detail oriented with ability to prioritize while meeting
various deadlines
- Interact well with co-workers
- Comply with and implement company policies and procedures
- Strong work ethic
- Accept constructive feedback
- Team player Physical Requirements:Requires the ability to work
in excess of eight hours per day in the confined quarters of a
construction trailer, and in outside elements. Must have ability to
operate a motor vehicle, read plans, walk on uneven surfaces, climb
stairs, climb ladders, bend, stoop, reach, lift, move, and/or carry
equipment which may be in excess of 50 pounds. Finger dexterity may
be required to operate a computer keyboard and calculator. FLSA
