As a core member of the Cleveland Clinic's Finance executive
leadership team, provides guidance and operational leadership for
all Revenue Cycle strategies. Ensures optimal operational
efficiencies while supporting many cultural and environmental
changes as a result of technology and process changes. Creates the
foundation and establishes the culture for a superior patient
experience, and strategic decision making for all Revenue Cycle
quality and continuous improvement. Recommends and implements the
annual and long range strategic plans for revenue cycle initiatives

- Develops and implements strategies, processes, and technology
to continuously improve and manage the Revenue Cycle, increase
productivity, decrease denials, reduce days in AR and increase cash
collections.
- Enriches the patient's Revenue Cycle experience by leveraging
market research, industry and non-industry best practices and
partnering with the Office of Clinical Transformation.
- Advances the digital patient experience strategies related to
Revenue Cycle. Responsible to ensure efficiencies are gained
through technology while ensuring effective processes for
departments/institutes that interact with Revenue Cycle process es
.
- Ensures appropriate benchmarking and performance comparisons
for Revenue Cycle metrics and consistently performs highly against
those benchmarks.
- Directly manages and implements programs to ensure efficient
operations of the enterprise Revenue Cycle programs in order to
generate sufficient cash flow to support the organizations
operations and strategic initiatives.
- Monitors departmental productivity and effectiveness and
develops remediation plans to address identified weaknesses.
- Accountable for technology and process governance from Revenue
Cycle with effective training ensuring a consistent and favorable
experience.
- Oversees all aspects of enterprise-wide Revenue Cycle
innovations and operational enhancements/ standardization s by
leveraging best practices and technology while providing strategic
direction to create cohesive, compliant, streamlined, and efficient
environment s that provides a world class patient experience.
- Leads multiple budgets and departments.
- Coordinates with stakeholders across the enterprise to drive
optimal patient experience, access, and financial performance.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Drives mergers and acquisition integration to maximize
synergies and standardization related to the Revenue Cycle .
- Works with stakeholders to understand complex issues, recognize
decision points, and design and deliver creative solutions while
partnering with a wide variety of constituencies including
physicians a nd business partners.
- Communicates with executives and peers across the organization
for a team of teams approach and superior outcomes . Education:
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related
field.
- A Master's degree is preferred.Certifications:
- None required.Work -Experience:
- A minimum of 15 years of professional and functionally relevant
experience, including 7 years of demonstrated management
experience.
- A Master's degree may offset 2 years of required
experience.Physical Requirements:
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.

- Ability to work with physical records or operate a computer or
other office equipment.
- In some locations, ability to travel throughout the hospital
