Primary Responsibilities:

  • Reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Corporate Services and will collaborate closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, and vendors and acquired entities
  • Responsible for providing leadership and employee development to the Corporate Services Analytics and Technology teams and will lead the Sr. Director Customer Support Reporting, Analysis and Data with a team of Reporting, Analytics, and Data employees, and will oversee the technology and product capability
  • Works directly with the Corporate Services Real Estate VP, Enterprise Procurement VP, M&A VP, ESG Sr. Director, and enterprise-wide groups including partners in Optum and UnitedHealthcare, and outside vendors
  • Leads business case creation, optimization, and communication of complex topics in simple terms - critical to translate unfamiliar topics stemming from analytics or non-core specialty areas to senior executives
  • Leads strategy and execution for:
    • Real Estate and Procurement Technical functions
      • Ensure the efficient operation, integration, and continuous improvement of all relevant systems and software
      • Collaborate with IT teams to address technical issues, implement upgrades, and identify opportunities for system enhancements
      • Oversee the configuration, customization, and integration of real estate and procurement systems to meet the organization's requirements

      • Analytical Support
        • Provide analytical support to the real estate and procurement teams, utilizing data to drive decision-making and process improvements
        • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics, and reports to measure and monitor the effectiveness of real estate and procurement operations
        • Conduct data analysis to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for process optimization
        • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement strategies based on data-driven insights
        • Provide Net Promotor Score (NPS) tools and insights related to Real Estate Services and Enterprise Procurement

        • Collaboration and Reporting
          • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, legal, and IT, to align real estate and procurement initiatives with overall business goals
          • Prepare and present reports, dashboards, and executive summaries to senior leadership, providing insights into the performance and impact of real estate and procurement activities
          • Foster strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and external partners to ensure effective procurement strategies and supplier management

            Required Qualifications:--
            • Bachelor's degree preferably in a quantitative field
            • Advanced analytic capabilities such as neural networks, genetic algorithms, and random forest
            • Experience with Python and R
            • Familiarity with procure-to-pay (P2P) and procurement sourcing systems
            • Proficient in data analysis and reporting, with experience in utilizing analytics tools and software
            • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead a diverse team and foster a collaborative work environment
            • Solid communication skills, both written and verbal, can effectively communicate complex information to various stakeholders
            • Proven experience in change management, training, and driving user adoption
            • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
            • Solid problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, with a strategic mindset
            • An understanding of use cases for advanced analytics within the corporate real estate and procurement functions

              Preferred Qualifications:----
              • Master's degree preferred
              • Proficiency with basic analytics including multi-variable regressions, statistical hypothesis testing, etc.
              • Experience in procurement and real estate, with a deep understanding of their operational and technical aspects
              • Advanced knowledge of real estate systems, including computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)

                  California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island or Washington residents is $181,600 to $345,500. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
