NV EnergyPosition Title: Director, Total Rewards, Compensation and Benefits Job ID: 106960 Location: Las Vegas, NV Facility: Pearson Building Department: Compensation and Benefits Full/Part Time: Full-Time Regular/Temporary: Regular Travel Percentage: None Description: Responsibilities Basic PurposeDevelops, plans, evaluates, and administers employee benefit programs including health and wellness, income protection, retirement, and related programs. Plans, develops, implements, and administers compensation programs including salaries, short-and long-term incentives, and job evaluations. Keeps executive-level management informed of departmental progress and problems. Responsible for resource allocation including budget and personnel. Ensures compliance with all application state and federal regulations. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelops, plans, evaluates, and administers the company's employee benefits programs including health and wellness, income protection, retirement, and related programs.- Ensures that benefits programs are competitive and equitable and that the programs are carried out to assist in the attainment of corporate objectives.- Manages and administers group life, health, accident, disability, and dental insurance programs, including withholding for salary reduction plans.- Manages and administers activities involving company's paid time-off programs.- Manages and administers activities of company's retirement programs, especially those involving savings and investment plans.- Organizes and arranges employee counseling on benefits coverage; may conduct pre-retirement counseling.- Acts as liaison between company and various insurance carriers and plan administrators.Plans, develops, implements, and administers compensation programs including salaries, short- and long-term incentives, and job evaluations for the organization.

  • Ensures that compensation programs are competitive and equitable and that the programs are carried out to assist in the attainment of corporate objectives.
  • Responsible for activities including job analysis/evaluation, performance review and appraisal, salary administration, and design of base salary and variable cash compensation programs.
  • Establishes plans and procedures for carrying out company policies and practices in compensation.Service Delivery
    • Defines and delivers high-quality service to company employees and leaders ensuring accurate and timely completion of work and response to inquiries.
    • Ensures service delivery requirements are met by third-party administrators and external service providers.
    • Manages the timely and accurate preparation and maintenance of regular and special reports to assist in the attainment of corporate objectives.
    • Ensures appropriate support of departmental functional areas in the effective utilization, access, and reporting of the HRIS.Manages benefits and compensation staff (i.e., hiring, training, performance development, performance management, etc.).Engages in the development and oversight of benefit and compensation program costs. Supports the development of testimony and related materials as part of the company's regulatory proceedings to validate the prudency of compensation and benefit program design, administration and spend.Conducts surveys on compensation and benefit levels among competing companies or interprets survey data from independent third-party publishers. Recommends changes and improvements to executives to ensure maintenance of company's pay and benefits programs.Remains current on all personnel policies, programs, and practices. Ensures that the benefits and compensation programs are administered in compliance to the established personnel policies, programs, and practices.Monitors and enforces all compliance requirements for area of responsibility. Ensures all compliance aspects of position are known and followed; understands and complies with all policies, codes, and regulations applicable to position and company. Performs related duties as assignedRequirements Essential Education, Skills, and EnvironmentEducation and Work ExperienceBachelor's degree in related field from an accredited school plus 8 years of related work experience including three years of compensation and benefits management experience. Candidates that do not possess a bachelor's degree must have a minimum of 12 years of related work experience including three years of compensation and benefits management experience.Specialized Knowledge and SkillsDemonstrated knowledge of:
      • HR/personnel practices and principles, applicable labor, pay and benefits laws and regulations. Demonstrated knowledge such as:
        • Planning, time management, communication, decision making, presentation, organization, and interpersonal skills.
        • Able to handle high level of confidentiality regarding employee information. Equipment and ApplicationsPCs, word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.Work Environment and Physical DemandsGeneral office environment. No special physical demands required. Compensation Annual Salary: $153,200 (Min) to $180,300 (Mid); Up to 20% Short Term Incentive Plan target opportunity at the discretion of the company.
