Logistics Manager We are searching for an experienced Logistics Manager at our Las Vegas. NV facility. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: The Logistics Manager is responsible for executing inventory control, overseeing cycle counting policies, reconciling inventory along with the customer inventory, and researching variances and shipping discrepancies. The Logistics Manager will also formalize inventory procedures, generate detailed cycle counts in order to provide measurable inventory results, create inventory reports and leads optimization of logistics processes. A successful Logistics Manager is a reliable professional with excellent record-keeping abilities. They possess great attention to detail and a business mindset. The goal of this position is to ensure that all business operations have adequate material to achieve their objectives.This position reports to the Plant Manager. Job Duties:Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules and expedite workflow.Inspect the levels of business supplies and raw material to identify shortages.Ensure product stock is adequate for all distribution channels and can cover direct demand from customers.Record daily deliveries and shipments to reconcile inventory.Use software to monitor demand and document characteristics of inventory.Place orders to replenish stock avoiding inefficiencies or excessive surplus.Analyze data to anticipate future needs.Evaluate suppliers to achieve cost-effective deals and maintain trust relationships.Collaborate with warehouse employees and other staff to ensure business goals are met.Maintain harmony among workers and resolve grievances.Interview and hire new employees.Identify employees' skills and develop them by coaching and counseling employees on a regular basis.Conduct annual performance reviews and provide continual feedback on both positive and negative performance.Skills:Strong leadership skillsTeam player at corporate level to collaborate with business units and functional partnersSolid operational management and general business skills and savvyExcellent communication skills and even better listening skills that promotes the "voice of the internal customer" Strategic mindset and problem-solving skillsChange management skills and self-awareness to take varying approaches with a dynamic set of stakeholders (e.g., expert model vs. facilitative model)Knowledge of enterprise risk management and business continuity planningRequired Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, economics, finance, operations, engineering or a related area, with a Master's degree preferred. Plus;1.Experience in printing industry strongly preferred2.Proven experience as logistics manager or similar position3.Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods4.Working knowledge of inventory management software (e.g. ERP)5.Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports6.An analytical mind with strong math skills7.Excellent organizational and planning skills8.Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities9.Reliable and trustworthyPhysical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
