Rapid Response *On-Call* Flight Paramedic - Las Vegas,
NVLocation: Las Vegas, Nevada 89169Duration: Ongoing, *On-Call* 1-2
days per weekRate: $35/hr, paid twice a month as 1099 independent
contractor, for hours workedStart Date: January 2021To be

Active (NREMT) Paramedic certification (NRP)* Active ACLS

Response Relief:RAPID RESPONSE RELIEF is emergency response work
and we need consultants to be flexible with the changing conditions
of this emergency-oriented nature of workThe ideal candidate will
be prepared to deploy on short notice, a team player, professional,
proficient in their work, experienced, and flexible.Please note:
this is an immediate response effort to take place as needed. This
position requires flexibility to be on site within a 2-hour
notice.Job Summary:The Flight Paramedic will be considered on-call
and must be able to respond within 2 hours to assist in the safe
in-flight transportation of patients.Responsibilities:* The Flight
Paramedic will use the acceptable medical industry standards to
manage each patient's care.* Administer medications, procedures,
and/or treatments in accordance with written medical orders and or
verbal orders from appropriate medical direction.* Verify all
required medications, equipment, and supplies and maintain all
required medical documentation.* Review medical records and ensure
that all records are current and complete.* Ensure that patients
are medically stable and fit to fly.* Notify leadership of any
potential public health threats or hazards.* Respond to all medical
emergencies (i.e. seizures, chest pain, mental disorder, etc.) and
provide quality medical care to all age groups.* Administer
prescribed medications, as necessary.* Prepare medications and
medical documentation.* Report any specific incidents during
flight, as appropriate.* Perform symptom screening, as required.*
Assume responsibility as the primary medical provider of care for
all patients with stable, unstable, and/or complex medical
conditions during flights.* Anticipate and acquire resources needed
for routine and unexpected medical incidents, including medical
emergencies during a flight.* Related tasks as needed. The job
duties are flexible and subject to change dependent upon
operational needs.Qualifications:* Must be a citizen of the United
States of America.* Must be at least 21 years of age.* Minimum high
school graduate.* Must be local to Las Vegas and be able to provide
immediate response within a 2-hour notice period.* Must possess a
valid driver's license, and must have a safe driving record for the
past 5 years.* Must possess a valid U.S. Passport. Travel may be
required.* Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.*
Must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience as a NREMT
Paramedic.* Must have a minimum of five (5) years' experience as an
ALS Paramedic.* Must be physically able to perform the full range
of medical duties without limitation.* Must be able to read, write,
and speak the English language fluently.Required Certifications and
Trainings:* Active National Registry of Emergency Medical
Technicians Certification* (NREMT) Paramedic Certification (NRP).*
Active ACLS Certification* Active Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation
(CPR) Certification.* Active Automatic External Defibrillator (AED)
Certification.* Active Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Certification.* Blood born pathogens and equipment use.* Be
currently involved in continuous educational training.* Prepare
electronically generated clearly written concise reports.Preferred
Certifications and Trainings:* Instructor ratings in ACLS and ITLS*
Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS/ ITLS)* PALS- Pediatric
Advanced Life Support* Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)Required
Skills/Abilities:* Be courteous and demonstrate good manners toward
employees and patients.* Report to work physically fit and mentally
alert.* Possess the ability to meet and deal tactfully with
people.* Possess the ability to understand, explain, interpret, and
apply rules, regulations, directives, and procedures.* Possess
poise, self-confidence, and the ability to make sound decisions and
react quickly under stressful conditions.* Experience operating in
high-stress regions experiencing conflict or sudden-onset
disasters.* Possess the ability to be extremely flexible and adapt
to changing situations.* Possess the ability to accept and respond
to instruction and direction.* Comply with applicable federal,
