Spring Mountain Behavioral Services has two locations to serve the diverse community of Las Vegas, Nevada.With Spring Mountain Treatment Center and Spring Mountain Sahara, we have a wealth of resources to provide targeted care to children, adolescents and adults in the fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada Metropolitan area.Visit us online at:( OUR TEAM!Spring Mountain Treatment Center is currently seeking a dynamic professional to join our team as a RN Infection Control/Educator.Infection ControlExperience in Infection Control preferred with basic knowledge of the principles of epidemiology and infections, diseases, sterilization, sanitation and disinfections practices.Experience in handling employee health preferred.ICRN Certification preferred, must enroll in program within 6 months of hire.EducatorThe RN Educator supports the learning needs of staff and patients by providing opportunities for the acquisition of new knowledge, skills and behaviors in view of advancing technologies, changing health care delivery systems, expanding staff roles and evidence based practice. The RN Educator performs a range of clinical, consultative and educational activities. A key component of the role is developing and facilitating the nursing department's orientation; as well as, identifying and training staff on competencies for various regulatory agencies.JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITES:The Infection Control Nurse implements an effective hospital-wide infection control and prevention program in keeping with Centers for Disease Control (CDC), JCAHO and other regulatory agencies.Liaises with CNO specific to the Employee Health Program. Provides and coordinates staff education including new hire orientation and annual competency specific to infection control and prevention.The Clinical Nurse Educator acts as an expert clinician, educator and consultantModels excellence in nursing practice through the utilization of advanced concepts in the areas of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation of clinical problems within defined patient population.Participates in the performance evaluation of clinical practicePlans, designs and implements educational activities in response to identified learning needs. Utilizes appropriate teaching/learning principlesDevelop preceptor program for new employee department orientation and maintain coaching role with new employeesUtilizes the research process in clinical program development. Ensures up-to-date clinical practices based on research findings, review of the literature, and/or participation in relevant specialty organizationsDemonstrates current, comprehensive, professional knowledge and skills in area of specialty. Experience in handling employee health preferred.
