Job Description:Intermountain Healthcare is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider who is passionate about caring for the Behavioral Healthcare needs of patients within hospital settings. This Psychiatric APP will have opportunity to work in person at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah, as well as support our psychiatric patients throughout the Intermountain West (Utah, Idaho, Nevada) through telehealth services.

The Psychiatric APP will provide after hours inpatient care services throughout our hospitals in regards to admissions, medication management, plan of care and discharge recommendations. The APP will function as the clinical expert in this area, however will support and be supported by the telecrisis team, psychiatrists, social workers, and others from multidisciplinary backgrounds dedicated to providing the highest level of quality patient care.

This is a full-time opportunity, typically working 3, 12 hour night shifts per week, 12 shifts per month, which will include rotating weekends and holidays. It is fully benefits-eligible, including generous CME reimbursement and relocation assistance, as needed.

We highly prefer a Nurse Practitioner with at least 3 years of psychiatric experience. Clinical experience in a hospital setting is also highly valued.Job Essentials
Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) are accountable for the provision of patient care at the top of licensure, within their scope of practice. Licensed, credentialed and privileged to perform such duties as:

• Maintenance and promotion of health and prevention of disease;
• Assessment, diagnosis, treatment, correction, and consultation;
• Procedures as outlined by specialty, and referral for health problems;
• Education of the patient, patient's family, clinical staff, and others;
• Prescription or administration of prescription drugs or devices in accordance with a consultation and referral plan;
• Consultation with other healthcare providers;
• Appropriate and timely documentation of clinical care;
• Continually learning and developing for optimal patient care and outcomes.
  Advanced Practice Providers may also participate in research, utilize evidence-based practice to improve quality patient care, protocol development, care process model development, and best practice standards for assigned patient population throughout our organization.
  Minimum QualificationsCurrent state license as an Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)
  - and -
  Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC
  - and -
  Eligible for State Controlled Substance License II through V.
  - and -
  Eligible for Federal DEA Certificate II through V.
  - and -
  BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers.Physical Requirements:Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
  - and -
  Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.

  Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.

  Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.

  Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc).
