POSITION SUMMARY: Med Surg Registered Nurse (Non-Critical) Department: Specialty Surgical Suites (Tower 3): 36 Bed Unit, all private rooms with a focus of Elective Surgery Patients ie; bariatric, gastric sleave patients, non-traumatic ortho and neuro surgeries. (hips, knees) etc.; Provide professional nursing care within Medical- Surgical unit focused on post-operative patients; assess, plan, implement & evaluate care for patients Shift: Full Time Nights; 7p-7a; 36 hours per week. The Registered Nurse performs the active nursing process consisting of the functions of assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care for patients. May assume the role of Team Leader for part or duration of shift *$15,000 Bonus eligible for Full Time with a minimum of one year of acute care experience. Current acute clinical care experience preferred
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing BSN degree required, or a degree completion plan demonstrating the plan for BSN degree completion within two years. The degree completion plan, including the progression for completion, should be reviewed with the department director every six months to validate the continued progression to meet the BSN degree requirement within two years from the date of this agreement. Any delay in degree completion, due to extenuating circumstances, which could potentially delay the BSN degree completion within two years, must be approved by the CNO and the VP of HR. Delays extending pass three years from the date of this agreement will not be approved. LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS: Current Nevada license to practice Nursing Independently maintains license Acquires required contact hours to maintain practice
