Apply Today!Job Summary and QualificationsThe Licensed Practical Nurse functions under the supervision of a registered nurse and performs delegated functions as defined in the State of Nevada Nurse Practice Act. The LPN assists the registered nurse in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care for patients. Meets Standards of Care and Standards of Practice.
  • Performs venipuncture/IV therapy after qualifications met.
  • Supervises assigned personnel.
  • Promotes collaboration with physicians and personnel of other departments.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to patients served.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of principles of growth and development over life span and possesses ability to assess data reflective of patient status and interpret appropriate information needed to identify patient requirements relative to his/her age specific needs.
  • Provides care needed as described in department policies and procedures.
  • Completes a competency skills checklist within 3 months of employment.QUALIFICATIONS:Education: Graduate from accredited school of NursingLicense/Cert:
    • Current license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Nevada
    • Current Basic Life SupportExperience: Previous experience in IV therapy preferred.Special Skills: A Licensed Practical Nurse who has at least one year of experience in nursing after receiving initial licensure and who has completed a course approved by the State Board of Nursing shall perform venipunture and IV therapy in accordance with the State of Nevada Nurse Practice Act.This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center provides Las Vegas and the Southwest region with high-quality, advanced healthcare services.
