Job Summary and Qualifications Ortho Spine: 46 Bed Surgical Floor. Hips, knees, shoulders, back surgeries, gi surgeries. The LOS is 2 days so someone with high energy will do well because you are admitting and discharging frequently compared to Med Surg which is 3.5 days. 1:6 nurse to patient ratio PRN (nights) 7p-7a min of (3) 7p-7a in 4 week timeframe We are seeking an experienced Med/Surg Registered Nurse with Ortho/Spine experience.In this role you will beresponsible for planning, executing and evaluating the nursing care given to Med/Surg Ortho/Spine patients.   • You will develop and implement individual patient care plans in accordance with standards of nursing practice through implementation of the nursing process and nursing diagnosis.
  • You will administer medications as ordered for specific group of patients and demonstrates knowledge of their modes of action, side effects and contraindications.
  • You will initiate, regulate and otherwise manages IV therapy for a specific group of assigned patients.
  • You will assume responsibility for patient placement on the unit and assignment of care responsibilities that consider complexity of nursing care required by each patient.
  • You will evaluate patient environment for safety and communicates identified concerns to the appropriate person in a timely manner.
  • You will provide patient education and keeps patient informed of treatment plan. Qualifications:
    • Current -Registered Nurse license in the State of Nevada
    • Current BCLS certification
    • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
    • BSN preferred
    • Basic Arrhythmia Recognition
    • Ortho/Neuro experience preferred
