together. /n /n /n Primary Responsibilities: /n /n - Help ease
patient's fear and apprehension about radiation therapy /n - Set up
patients properly for accurate delivery of radiation treatment.
Explain to patient what to expect during treatment and what the
patient can do to make sure treatment is carried out accurately /n
- Responsible for daily warm-up of treatment machine. This includes
entering information in the warm-up log book. Any variations from
parameters set by physicist should be reported to the Senior
Therapist /n - Responsible to check simulator for proper operation.
Any problem that would interfere with proper operation should be
reported to the Chief Radiation Therapist. All checks done should
be properly entered on the simulator warm-up log /n - Properly
position patient for simulation of treatment area using
immobilization devices as necessary to ensure proper position of
patient. Explain to the patient what to expect during simulation
and how the patient can help to make the process go smoothly and
correctly /n - Produce acceptable radiographs for simulation /n -
Tattoo the patient's treatment area safely when applicable /n -
Photograph the patient's treatment area & face to be placed in the
patient's chart /n - Maintains audio and visual contact with
patients at all times /n - Schedule the patient for daily treatment
/n - Make sure the patient's marks are maintained during the course
of treatment /n - Explain to the patient what adverse reactions
might occur during treatment course. Notify the RN or Radiation
Oncologist of patient's adverse reaction when necessary /n - Make
sure Radiation Oncologist sees the patient at least once a week
during treatment course /n - Verify weekly weight check /n /n /n

Qualifications: /n /n - High School graduate or equivalent /n -
Completion of formal training program of Radiation Therapy /n -
Current State of Nevada license /n - Current CPR Certification /n -
ARRT in Radiation Therapy /n /n /n Preferred Qualification: /n /n -
1 years of experience working in an acute care hospital setting /n
- 1 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist /n - Experience
with: Aria, Varian linear accelerators/Truebeam, GE CT
scanner/simulation, SBRT/SRS /n - Working with radiation producing
equipment /n - Willing or ability to do some lifting may be
required /n /n /n The hourly range for this role is $34.42 to
$67.60 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on
several factors including but not limited to local labor markets,
education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group
