Emergency/Temp Privileges: No Not accepting Locums or Visa Candidates Position Overview A full-time Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist is needed to join a leading pediatric heart program providing state-of-the-art care in a highly specialized Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU). This permanent role supports Nevada’s only congenital heart surgical program and includes academic opportunities with rotating residents. You will work within a 14-bed CICU , supporting over 400 cardiac surgical cases annually , collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and participating in a rotating schedule that includes weekends and on-call duties. Key Responsibilities ? Deliver advanced critical care to cardiac pediatric patients ? Manage post-op and complex congenital cardiac cases ? Collaborate with teams supporting ECMO & congenital heart catheterization ? Provide care within dedicated PICU & pediatric ED ? Support pediatric/neonatal transport services ? Participate in procedural sedation services ? Teach and collaborate with rotating medical residents ? Ensure adherence to best practices in pediatric cardiac care ? Provide continuity in a rotating schedule, including on-call ??? Required Qualifications Board Certified or Board Eligible within 5 years (Pediatric Critical Care OR Pediatric Cardiology with additional CICU training) Nevada medical license or eligibility DEA (required before start) State CDS/CSR (required before start) Clean malpractice history preferred MUST live locally or be willing to relocate No visa support available Clinical Setting 14-bed Cardiac ICU 24-bed tertiary PICU Newly opened 30-bed pediatric emergency department Multidisciplinary teams including specialists, APPs, RN/RT teams, and PICU/CICU experts Academic participation with UNLV SOM residents Compensation & Benefits This permanent role offers a highly competitive total compensation package including: ?
