Job Description Job Description Position Summary The WIC Worker
performs all front desk activities, greeting and welcoming
participants to WIC, ensuring completion of necessary paperwork,
and evaluating participants on WIC eligibility while following all
confidentiality and quality management policies. This position may
require relocation/reassignment to any of our clinics based on
business needs. Flexibility and willingness to relocate are

and Responsibilities Ensure that participant fills out appropriate
forms and checks for completion Accurately Verifies participant’s
eligibility documents to include current identification such as
driver’s license, Medicaid letter, income verifications and other
pertinent documentation Verifies participant meets WIC eligibility
requirements Obtains HIPAA signature, if needed Checks with
participant to ensure they understand WIC processes including use
of EBT card and recertification/nutrition contact requirements
Follows appropriate participant walk-in process Inputs data into
computer and generates written records, coordinates paper flow
issues with the clinic team Schedules/reschedules appointments for
participants Files registration documents in WIC record according
to policy and procedures Communicates appropriate policy and
procedure which includes clinic policy Works with clinic team to
ensure all WIC forms required are completed before participant’s
departure Checks for completeness and accuracy of any eligibility
forms submitted Assist participants with EBT process and scheduling
of future appointments Ability to issue food benefits based on
CPA’s/RD’s prescription and explains how to redeem food benefits to
participant Refers participants to public services as needed
Creates new records Does follow-up/call backs to participants per
WIC Site Manager directions Promotes breastfeeding in a positive
manner to WIC participants and community partners; refers
participants to CLC, RD or CPA when needed Provides general filing
and faxing to support paperwork flow Ensure proper policy and
procedures are followed with office duties Attends and completes
required State WIC training. Ensures time and efforts and time
sheets are accurate, inputted in database, and/or submitted on time
Attends and actively participates in staff meetings Complete the 3
WIC Entry Training Modules within 2 months of hire. Nevada Health

supervisor Required Qualifications High school diploma or general
education degree (GED) Bilingual fluent in English and Spanish
Preferred Qualifications Skill in operating computer databases
Ability to read, write, and calculate mathematical figures
Knowledge of general office practices and procedures Monitors and
maintains a positive waiting room environment. Ability to
understand and respond appropriately, effectively and sensitively
to special population groups as defined by race, ethnicity,
language, age, sex, etc. Knowledge of services NVHC clinic sites
offer. Ability to exercise good judgment in appraising situations
and making decisions Ability to maintain a Driver’s License, and to
perform transportation or courier duties as needed. Ability to
travel distances for multiple days; when applicable Ability to
communicate in a courteous and professional manner Ability to
travel and/or provide coverage to multiple clinic locations About
