Job Description:

The Retail Systems Support role will focus on the management and maintenance of the in-house POS (Micros, Simphony) system and peripherals for our six outlets. This includes installing, diagnosing, documenting, and upgrading hardware and equipment while ensuring optimal POS performance. The position also provides end user training and assistance where required. This role requires working select evenings and weekends, sometimes remotely from your home.

Duties

--- Train restaurant staff.

--- Assist in maintaining POS, printers, peripherals and workstation systems.

--- Assist in updating inventory pricing and promotional pricing.

--- R&A reporting, diagnosis & resolution of POS system, pcs, printers, and peripherals.

--- Assist in deploying and removing of POS devices.

--- Work with POS system vendors and support services.

Qualifications

--- EMC experience with Simphony POS systems and hardware.
--- R&A reporting for POS.
--- Opera system experience.
--- Good knowledge of network and PC hardware.
--- Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience.
--- Working knowledge of the Oracle Data Base and MS SQL platforms.
--- Support experience with Windows based workstations.
--- Working technical knowledge OS, and network protocols including TCP/IP.
--- Working knowledge of DB management and query design is a plus.

The ideal candidates will possess the following:

--- At least 5 years of IT experience.
--- At least 3 of those years with a focus in F&B implementations and software/hardware problem solving.
--- Functional & technical knowledge of Oracle Simphony POS and well versed w/ standard API set.
--- Experience with R&A POS reports, EMC interphase design, integrations, and deployment.
--- Experience in Micros SIM scripting language.
--- Extensive knowledge in POS configuration management and tool set.
--- Experience with 3rd party interphases and gateways is a plus (i.e. xDine, FreedomPay, Oasis)
--- Experience with PCI security and NV gaming board standards is a plus.
--- Confidence working with management of the Retail and Food & Beverage sectors with an understanding of the demands and responsibilities of those roles.
--- Ability to work with accounting department to help troubleshoot report discrepancies and procedures.
