Job Description:
We are a restaurant. Our mission is to provide Homestyle Hoonah
Hospitality for our guests and community. We are seeking a new Chef
/ Line Cook to join our team. Your role will be to provide Chef /
Head Cook / Baker skills for 1/2 of the week with a counter part on
our team There are also significant baking hours available if
skilled, We also have additional housekeeping and wait staff
employment available for a significant other. You will thrive in a
fast-paced environment and dedicate time to expanding our clientele
base to establish the restaurant's brand and reputation.
Responsibilities Oversee and prepare day-to-day culinary production
serving approximate avg 80 -250 meals per day Line duties during
the limited hours of operation Provide catered meals when needed
Work independently and lead the restaurant team when on your shift
& coordinate with counterpart Identify and request food and
kitchenware needs Maintain a clean and orderly work environment &
help with cleaning when needed Verify and maintain freshness and
quality of ingredients Creatively assist in the development of menu
items Help to standardize recipes and plate presentations Work with
management to create a memorable experience for guests
Qualifications Must be motivated, hard-working & dependable Must
work long days with split shifts including overtime Significant
previous experience and/or culinary arts education (Baking a plus)
Knowledge of cost and labor systems Passion for food and cooking
techniques Strong leadership qualities and willingness to teach
team mates Ability to thrive in a sporadically fast-paced
environment. As a member of the Restaurant department, you will
work with Servers and Dishwasher/Prep and report to our Head
Chef/Cook. What You Will Do Conduct regular business reviews to
ensure clients are satisfied with their products and services and
identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities. Collaborate with internal
stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction. What You Will Bring Our
ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of relevant experience and the
following credentials/skills: High School or GED Degree in Culinary
Arts Portion Control Saut--ing Scratch Cooking Food Plating Seafood
Soup Making Baking skills (prefered) Why You'll Love Us The Icy

Community of Hoonah, Alaska. We are located 45 air miles from
Juneau, Alaska on beautiful Chichagof Island. The lodge is
accessible by daily air carriers, boat or the Alaska Marine highway
ferry system. The community also hosts the Icy Strait Point a
cruise ship destination resort that operates in late spring and
into fall. The "Point" boasts two world class ship docks, Trams and
one of the longest zip lines in the world. The island also has 200
plus miles of logging roads and world class fishing and wildlife

the lives of others. Salary range for this position is $18.00 -
$20.00 per hour. We offer the following benefits: 30% off food;
