Scope of Job: Responsible for the supervision of the Deli staff
and the proper execution of all daily operations in the Deli.
Graciously greets guests and welcomes them to Panevino. Responsible
for preparing, displaying, and serving food and beverage items to
the guests. Responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary work
area. Essential Job Functions: 1. Responsible for ensuring proper
execution of the Deli operations in order to provide excellent
customer service. This includes opening, during shift, and closing
duties. 2. Responsible for efficient scheduling of all Deli team
members, including break times, early outs, and overtime based on
daily business needs. 3. Responsible for the daily debriefing of
the Deli staff prior to opening. 4. Delegates duties throughout the
day to keep the Deli running smoothly. 5. Ensures that the Deli
staff completes their duties as appropriate. 6. Responsible for the
training of new Deli team members, incorporating suggestive and
upselling methodology and providing them with written and verbal
instruction. 7. Responsible for placing all orders according to
business needs 8. Responsible for maintaining the proper inventory
of food and durable goods. 9. Ensures that the Dry Storage area is
kept neat & clean. 10. Must be able to understand and initiate
basic supervisory functions in the TOAST Point of Sale system. 11.
Ensures that all areas of the Deli are kept clean, organized, and
sanitized to be in compliance with applicable local, state, and
federal laws and Health Department codes. 12. Evaluates operational
standards and execution of the Deli. Makes recommendations as
appropriate to management. 13. Reviews, approves, and submits
payroll for the Deli staff to the Assistant General Manager,
including tip allocation. 14. Independently assesses potential
problems or issues and notifies management as needed. 15. Assist in
resolving customer complaints in a professional and timely manner,
request assistance from management as necessary 16. Responsible for
ensuring that staff is preparing and serving food items according
to menu specifications. 17. Responsible for maintaining proper
portion control per management specifications. 18. Observes and
enforces the First In - First Out method for food rotation. 19.
Responsible for presenting and displaying the finished food product
according to management specifications. 20. Responsible for working
in a manner that is safe for you and your co-workers. 21.
Interviews applicants and makes recommendations as appropriate to
the General Manager. 22. Enforces Company policies in a fair and
consistent manner. 23. Addresses team members issues with the
assistance of the Assistant General Manager and General Manager 24.
Operates the cash register and handles all monetary transactions
correctly when required. 25. Responsible for ensuring that all
to-go orders received via fax, via telephone and/or via e-mail are
made in an accurate and prompt fashion 26. Have an understanding
and proper training to operate all work stations. 27. Responsible
for cross training team members to all work stations. 28.
Responsible for training all deli staff on the safe operations for
all equipment, processes and procedures. 29. Responsible for
monthly inventory counts and data entry. 30. Responsible for
responding to customer's comment cards. 31. Responsible for
collecting business cards given by guests on a weekly basis and
giving to management for database entry. 32. Responsible for
picking 1 guest-winner every month for the free meal prize and
communicating to guest in a timely manner. Responsible for the
direct supervision of Deli Clerks, Cashiers & Bussers.
