Change is here, come be a part of it with us.As a Senior Underwriter you will:Manage existing portfolio of workers compensation business, meeting growth goals and ensuring profitabilityCreate visibility nationwide by communicating underwriting appetite and generating new opportunities by building and maintaining strong broker relationshipsWork independently, you will be granted underwriting authority based on experience levelCultivate key broker relationships in the region to maintain a steady stream of business within our underwriting appetiteProvide clients with a service that supports the positive image of the companyCross-marketing with other Paragon lines; meeting with brokers and insureds as requiredAd hoc analytical projects in line with departmental goals as assignedWhat You'll HaveBachelor's Degree or equivalent experience3 - 5 years of General Agency experienceUnderwriting experience to include workers compensationStrong existing marketing relationships within their assigned territory with experience in production underwriting rolePossess in-depth underwriting expertise paired with actuarial mindset across the class, and be able handle complex accountsSelf-starter who is organized and able to work independently as well as collaboratively as neededDemonstrated ability to build and maintain strong insured and broker contactsStrong Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication, collaboration and presentation skills and willingness to mentor othersTravel is estimated at 20%Preferred hybrid in Las Vegas, NV or remote
