At Eataly, you can enjoy a meal at restaurants or quick-service counters, purchase the ingredients, and learn through classes and tastings. Eat Better, Live Better! The Pasta Maker creates fresh batches of pasta daily to be sold in the market and served in our restaurants. A Pasta Maker is also involved with educating guests on Eatalys various pastas and providing customer service. Reports to the Fresh Pasta Manager or Assistant Manager. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and MGM Resorts policies, practices and procedures. - Makes pasta according to Eatalys recipes and high-quality standards - Weighs and packages pasta - Advises customers on pasta choices - Ensures all items are rotated according to First In First Out (FIFO) standards - Maintains a clean and sanitary work area that meets Department of Health standards - Other job-related duties as requested Required: - Must be at least 18 years old. - High School Diploma or equivalent. - Excellent customer service skills. - Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts. - Professional appearance and demeanor. - Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays. - High school diploma or equivalent. - Able to effectively communicate in English, both written and oral forms. Preferred: - Culinary degree/certification - 1 year previous experience as a cook/chef - Knowledge of Italian cuisine - Bilingual, English as the primary or secondary language - Previous experience in a high-volume retail environment - Previous experience working in a similar resort setting
