SUMMARY: The primary responsibility for a AVP - Member Business
Loans is to originate, manage, and supervise the Credit Union’s
portfolio of commercial loans, with the overall objective of
maintaining strong asset quality within the portfolio. Cultivate
strong business banking relationships with new and existing
business owners throughout the state of Nevada. Subject matter
expert on all member business solutions. Create a business plan to
successfully target businesses within the Credit Union’s risk
tolerance and appetite.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following.
Takes applications for commercial loan business. Reviews
borrower’s financial condition and assesses their ability to re-pay
the loan. Makes underwriting decisions within approval authority.
Completes or directs completion of all loan documents and closes
Participates in developing lending and deposit business for the
credit union. Calls on clients to expand existing business, calls
on prospects seeking opportunities to expand the Credit Union’s
Maintain a sustainable pipeline that leads to measured
Ensure compliance with all Board policies as well State and
Federal regulations related to member business lending.
Assist in collection of past due loans.
Monitors existing loan portfolio to maintain a high-quality
asset base. Maintains up-to-date client files including balance
sheet, profit & loss statement, tax returns, cash flow projections,
and all loan documentation.
Contribute to the development and refinement of the credit
union’s lending vision and strategy working in a team environment
focused on member service and closing quality loans in a timely

Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: A Bachelor’s degree is preferred
with a minimum of three to five years related experience and/or
extensive training in member business lending; or equivalent
combination of education and experience in a related field.
