Job Description:

Essential Job Functions: Provide administrative support to the Convention Service department. Acknowledge, greet, and converse with customers while providing excellent customer service. Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies. Answer correspondence and compose memoranda and letters. Answer and screen incoming telephone calls. Set up appointments. Coordinate schedules, meetings and processes executive reservations. Distribute incoming/outgoing mail. Order office supplies for department and keeps inventory. Work closely with all departments. Handle guest complaints. Good professional writing and grammar skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Channel communications between Director and direct reports (deadlines, etc). Working knowledge of copying, faxing, typing, mail, filing, supply ordering, and travel arrangements. Willing and able to learn new skills and tasks quickly. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Background in Convention Services preferred. Must be able to type at least 45 wpm. Knowledge of personal computer and Microsoft Office required. Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills. Education in business or related field preferred. Must be able to effectively communicate in English. Must be able to get along with coworkers and work as a team. Must present a well groomed appearance.
