Challenge yourself, your peers and our industry by shaping what health care looks like and doingyour life's best work.(sm) Primary Responsibilities: In conjunction with other members of the management team, responsible for the interview, selection, orientation, development, evaluation, discipline, and competency of prescreening staff. Ensures appropriate staffing assignments and direction of responsibilities Ensures staff ability to identify significant potential or real surgical care issues requirement reporting to anesthesia or surgical services Liaison between patients, family, surgeon, and staff to coordinate care and services during patient care Assists in ordering of supplies and equipment In conjunction with management team, conducts ongoing evaluations of staffing patterns to promote maximum level of utilization of staff and surgical case scheduling Participates in the development of policies and procedures; coordinates staff training as needed or requested Accountable for on-going training of prescreening staff for Southwest Surgical Center competency and compliance programs Responsible for completing phone interviews to collect data from patients scheduled for ambulatory surgery and complete the Pre-Op questionnaire Responsible to obtain copies of most recent and required pre-op testing to prepare chart for surgery Responsible to obtain lab values, tests and EKG results and have Administrator or anesthesiologist review and advise on any abnormal findings Responsible to consult with Administrator or anesthesiologist on all complex cases Responsible to prepare packets for delivery to surgery center in a timely manner Responsible to maintain excellent customer service expectations with patients and physician offices Responsible to complete other assignments as designated within the scope of practice or as needed to support team and works closely with the Scheduling Coordinator for any schedule changes or updates Responsible for maintaining statistical information on the numbers of patients cleared on a daily and monthly basis for review of productivity. Competent in interviewing process for medical history; must be able to function independently, but knows when to bring any complex cases for review by Administrator or anesthesiologist

Required Qualifications: Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience Current BLS Certification Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations applicable to anesthesia and preoperative testing Competent in interviewing process for medical history; must be able to function independently but knows when to bring any complex cases for review by Administrator or anesthesiologist Basic Microsoft Office Skills Experience multitasking You will be asked to perform this role in an office setting or other company location Employees are required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener prior to entering the work site each day, in order to keep our work sites safe. Employees must comply with any state and local masking orders. In addition, when in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are expected to wear a mask in areas where physical distancing cannot be attained Preferred Qualifications: 1+ years of leadership/supervisory/management experience Unrestricted and unencumbered LPN license or the ability to obtain one from the State of Nevada Experience using reports and data to positively impact metrics Experience with relationship building Extremely well organized High level of customer service experience Extreme levels of flexibility 3+ years of clinical experience (clinic, home health, SNF, LTAC, etc.) 2+ years of medical/surgical experience preferably in urgent care, emergency room, or other specialty, preferably includes 1 year of collecting data for medical/surgical histories
