Job Description:

Responsibilities:General ResponsibilitiesMust be able to work from home and/or the Lindell office based on business needs.Work under general supervision from designated supervisor.Process new hire and change transactions for union employees timely and accurately.Verify accuracy of data entry and correct setup of taxes and deductions.Monitor for incoming transaction paperwork.Perform quality review of transaction paperwork to ensure compliance with company guidelines.Distribute paychecks and direct deposit vouchers timely and in accordance with company policy, union agreements and federal and state regulations.Assist union employees and management with questions, concerns or requests regarding payroll. This includes properly applying technical knowledge and skills, communicating and listening effectively.Gather and report metrics.Manage workflow to ensure all transactions are processed timely and accurately.Review payroll documents for compliance with policies and procedures.Research and effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with employees and departments.Prepare employee documentation for scanning or filing. Ensure records are maintained in accordance with record retention requirements.Stay current on regulatory, legal and other payroll developments to foresee and/or address payroll initiatives and issues.Qualifications:Education/ExperienceFundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) desiredHigh school diploma or GED requiredThree to five years multi-state payroll processing experienceData entry experienceSolid understanding and working knowledge of payroll processes and systems, particularly in an union environmentStrong knowledge of state and federal payroll regulations, with an emphasis on multi-state and local taxation.Skills/Competencies:MS Office and computer skillsExcellent organizational skillsExcellent reading and interpretation skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to maintain confidential informationHigh degree of professionalism and solid ability in delivering high quality customer service and establishing/maintaining effective and collaborative working relationships.Excellent judgment, analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as a team playerWork Environment:BENEFITS:Our team members are our family, so we help our team members care for their families.
