Job DescriptionWe are on the hunt for experienced line cooks to join our clients talented team and help prepare meals according to their standard recipes. In this position, your principal goal will be to prepare high-quality meals that meet the chefs exact specifications.You will be responsible for setting up the prep station, stocking inventory, and maintaining sanitation standards. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and multi-tasking skills. Ultimately, you will play an essential role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and restaurant growth.Shifts available:June 1, 2021 through June 4, 2021Tuesday through Friday8:30 am 5:00 pm11:30 am 8:00pmJune 7, 2021 through June 11, 2021Monday through Friday8:30 am 5:00 pm11:30 am 8:00pmJune 14, 2021 through June 17, 2021Monday through Thursday8:30 am 5:00 pm11:30 am 8:00pmSalary: $12.50Line Cook Job Responsibilities:Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies.Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces.Cooks food items by grilling, frying, sauteing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards.Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.Cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces at the end of the shift.Performs inventory checks and completes food storage logs.Line Cook Qualifications/Skills:Basic written and verbal communication skillsOrganizational skillsAccuracy and speed in executing tasksAbility to work as a team memberFollows directions and instructionsRequirementsNeed to be fully vaccinated (COVID tests will be conducted weekly)High school diploma or GEDOne to two years of experience as a line cook, restaurant cook, or prep cookCertificate in Culinary Arts preferredIn-depth knowledge of restaurant best practices and cooking methods.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Aptitude for multi-tasking.Must be able to work cooperatively and efficiently in a team.Bloo Recruitment is a temporary staffing company specializing in the placement of Office Administration, Hospitality and Events, and Light Industrial associates on a temp, temp-to-perm, and contract basis#workforeverybodyRequirementsNeed to be fully vaccinated (COVID tests will be conducted weekly) High school diploma or GED One to two years of experience as a line cook, restaurant cook, or prep cook Certificate in Culinary Arts preferred In-depth knowledge of restaurant best practices and cooking methods.
