General Description:The responsibility of the Assistant Operations Manager is to provide leadership, guidance and logistical support for drivers and the kitchen operations for Contracted Foods, Special Events and Catering. The Manager will assist in ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of deliveries and pick-ups to/from the clients, vendors and events. The Assistant Operations Manager will assist in maintaining client relations and open lines of communications. The manager will assist in the completion of orders, verification of accuracy of orders, scheduling of the drivers and daily routes, and other logistics needs for Contracted Foods, Special Events and Catering.Essential Functions:Daily scheduling of drivers to include delivery routes and vendor pickups.Assist the drivers in filling orders and verifying the correctness of orders.Weekly scheduling of drivers to fill the projected needs and adjusting as needed to ensure no service failures. The Supervisor can fill in when needed to drive some routes.Ensure timeliness of all delivered goods to sites, on time and as pre-arranged with clients.Drive company vehicles, and complete routes as needed.Assist the culinary team as needed.Mentors and trains all driving staff.Communicates with the Operation teams to ensure seamless execution of all driving needs.Communicates with Operation and Sales Teams with any issues relating to sites/clients.Works with the driving team to monitor the mechanical status of the fleet and communicate any needs with the operations team and the facilities team.Ability to solve problems and recommend solutions to further the effectiveness of the operation.Provide a foundation of leadership which demonstrates a lead by example, positive and professional environment.Re-enforces and exemplifies the highest level of customer service standards as outlined by CALV.Helps drive innovation by suggesting new ideas and solutions to improve operations and customer service.Basic computer skills to include Microsoft 365 products.Assist in maintaining and updated special events, catering and pop-up events calendar.Ensure all deliveries and food are handled in accordance with SNHD regulations.Reinforce with drivers and staff members all Culinary Academy of Las Vegas procedures and protocols are abided to while on delivery routes and at client sites.Other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:A minimum of two (2) years of cooking experience and excellent knowledge of basic kitchen equipment. Must be able to pass a background check for the city of North Las Vegas.Experience and Education Substitutions:High school diploma or equivalent preferredAn equivalent combination of formal education and appropriate related experience may be considered.Licensing and Certification:Valid Health Card requiredValid Driver License requiredServSafe Manager Certification preferredNote: Any degree, diploma, high school equivalent, or course hours required to meet minimum qualifications must be obtained from an accredited educational institution.Physical Demands & Working Conditions:The following physical demands and working conditions are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this job.
