Position Summary: 

The Logistics Services Manager – Field Services is responsible for leading a team to deliver superior customer service by developing and aligning strategic and tactical plans that leverage standard practices. They will drive profitable growth by engaging and collaborating with Sales, Field Services, and Operations to provide efficient and effective route planning services and support. This role will create a culture of Operational Excellence through training and utilizing a continuous improvement approach. 

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to: 

  • Strategically develop and manage the company’s Field Service routing in order to maximize route efficiency and provide superior customer service
  • Build and lead a team of highly engaged, diverse professionals to drive value to our business through business results and by maximizing the return on our “Investment in people”.
  • Maintain working knowledge of all department IT applications and SOP’s and ensure team is adhering to and optimizing available methodologies, tools and resources
  • Develop and consistently achieve key performance metrics that demonstrate the effectiveness of the department and alignment to corporate objectives
  •  Identify new opportunities across the business, the team and the use of tools
  • Other projects or duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Four plus years of Logistics/Supply Chain experience
  • Two plus years of supervisory experience
  • Strong leadership, team building and performance management skills
  • Effective communication skills – oral, written and presentation
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and a strong sense of urgency
  • Results-oriented
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • A continuous improvement mindset
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills - Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint
  • Travel – up to 10%  
  • This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test. 

 Preferred Skills and Experience: 

  • Route Planning and/or Route Optimization experience
  • Cognos or similar Business Intelligence experience
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma tools
  • Experience with budgeting and business planning
