JOB SUMMARY

The E-Commerce Content Production Supervisor manages the team of Web Content Producers responsible for the deployment of marketing promotions and resort content across Yield Management's Brand.com website, destination collection websites, and forty property-specific microsites.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for managing and tracking deliverables of projects, tasks or last-minute requests submitted in WorkFront that support campaign or online promotional offer changes, copy or image revisions, posting destination or resort activity content, and updates to information about our resorts on websites and microsites.
  • Proactively prioritizes and coordinates production activities that align with monthly web merchandising plans weekly email, or Short Message Service (SMS) deployments.
  • Drives the growth of reservation conversion rates, the capture of leads for group sales, and sign-ups via email, or Short Message Service (SMS) for hotel offers.
  • Acts as the single point of contact for Hotel Marketing Coordinators, stakeholders, and/or clients and set service level expectations for all submitted requests.
  • Provides regular communication and updates on the status of deliverables and projects.
  • Ensures that all execution is consistent with website or booking engine capabilities, brand standards, and user experience (UX) best practices.
  • Conducts weekly quality assurance (QA) audits to monitor for broken links, content defects, or offer expiration.
  • Alerts call centers of new offer content deployed on websites 3-5 business days prior to production release.
  • Works with third-party vendors on functionality that supports price comparison tools, shopping cart abandonment, hotel reviews, and the growth of ancillary revenues.
  • Ensures that promotional content is delivered at a master brand level to streamline production across websites or microsites and reduce the number of offer codes shared online.
  • Serves as gatekeeper to develop and implement best practices for the delivery of dynamic and seasonal content for all resort destinations.
  • Creates and maintains standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for all mission critical processes of the team.
  • Leads pre-launch meetings supporting North America (NA), Europe (EU), or Global campaign sales events and weekly teams meetings.
  • Works closely with System Setup, Automation, and Yield Management (YM) Revenue team on the proper set-up and use of rate plans, or Marketing Key Codes (MKC) for Clarity and iHotelier booking engines.
  • Monitors the web traffic and conversion performance of microsites and landing pages.
  • Verifies with the E-Commerce Specialist that Uniform Resource Locator (URL) naming structures, keyword content, and meta tags conform with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices for all assignments.
  • Aids E-Commerce Manager and Director of E-Commerce in data collection and publishing of weekly Metric Monday, monthly, and quarterly Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports.
  • Works closely with Digital Marketing, Creative Services, Hotel Marketing Coordinators, abd Automation teams on the design and launch of integrated digital marketing campaigns.
  • Responsible for the accuracy and on-time delivery of all materials supporting the publishing of promotional offers and merchandising on websites and landing pages.
  • Completes all required Company trainings and compliance courses as assigned.
  • Adheres to Company standards and maintains compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field.

EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum one (1) year of experience in the online retail, hospitality, travel or destination marketing field required.
  • A minimum one (1) year of supervisory experience in the online retail, hospitality, travel or destination marketing field required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides immediate supervision to direct reports. Oversees and controls the work performance of others in a close working relationship, often in the same room or close proximity. A portion of the time may be spent performing individual tasks similar to those performed by direct reports. May participate in the interview, selection and training processes, as assigned. May be responsible for assigning work to direct reports, reviewing results in accordance to policies and procedures, and providing recommendations to management.

LICENSE & CERTIFICATIONS

  • This position does not require licenses or certifications.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

This position requires the capability to understand and follow both oral and written directions as well as knowledge and usage of correct business English and office practices. Must be able to communicate effectively with others, analyze and resolve problems, maintain effective working relationships, and interact successfully with internal and external customers.

Specific skills and abilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Working knowledge with CMS (Content Management System) with WordPress, Drupal, or TravelClick/Amadeus Galaxy).
  • Knowledge of web analytics software (Google Analytics, Omniture).
  • Familiarity with collaboration tools (Microsoft Teams, Slack).
  • Copywriting skills or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Basic web programming language skills such as Hypertext Markup Language (HTML5), Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), Hypertext Prepocessor (PHP), and/or JavaScript.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Understand how to develop and implement business strategies.
  • Ability to interpret and create policies, procedures, and manuals.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficient in time management; the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to take initiative and effectively adapt to changes.
  • Recognizes an emergency situation and takes appropriate action.
  • Able to establish and maintain a cooperative working relation.
  • Ability to interpret and create spreadsheets.
  • Able to use sound judgment; work independently, with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Able to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature, with impending deadlines and/or established timeframes.
  • Competent in public speaking.
  • Performs well with frequent interruptions and/or distractions.
  • Intermediate math skills.
