Inside Sales

FULL-TIME

$25/hr

**Pay listed is within the range. Range starts at $22/hr and is negotiable based on experience.

The purpose of the Inside Sales position is to ensure customer needs are identified and met in a timely manner, achieve customer satisfaction, and meet sales objectives and goals. This position will also identify, and close additional purchases of products and services provided by BPS Supply Group.

Essential functions:
• Building customer and vendor relationships to earn their trust
• Become familiar with all facets of the procurement process
• Identifying revenue opportunities within customers’ communities through communications, programs and other activities as needed.
• Prospecting, qualifying, and generating sales within our established guidelines
• Understand the price metrics / material provided by purchasing
• Understand and use the selling price matrices for existing and new customers
• Provide reporting to management as requested
• Keep management informed of all activity, including timely preparation of reports
• Remain knowledgeable and up-to-date on changes and developments in BPS industry
• Additional duties as may be assigned by department supervisor or manager
• Basic knowledge of Eclipse System
• Generate new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information in a timely manner
• Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and solutions
• Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability, or specifications
• Present price, credit, and terms in accordance with standard procedures and customers’ profitability profiles
• Accurately process customer transactions such as orders, quotes, or returns
• Provide accurate information regarding availability of in-stock items
• Obtaining accurate information from vendors relating to shipment dates and expected date of delivery
• Proactively recommend items needed by customers to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability
• Increasing sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales and offering promotional sale items
• Educate customers about terminology, features, and benefits of products in order to improve product related sales and customer satisfaction
• Monitoring scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed
• Contact customers following sales to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and resolve any complaint
• Filling requests for catalogs, information, or samples
• Remain current on consumer preferences, changes in local codes and product developments by attending sales meetings, vendor training and trade shows, or reading trade journals
• Identifying trends in customer satisfaction or dissatisfaction
• Managing time effectively, meet personal goals and work effectively with other members of the distribution team
• Communicating to the purchasing department unexpected increases or decreases in demand for products
• Assisting in scheduled physical inventory counts
• Maintaining proficiency in using personal computer, data entry terminal and other common office equipment and software
• Follow company policies and procedures
• Present a professional image at all times to customers and vendors

Schedule

Shift start: 7:00AM
Shift length: 8 hours
Typically Monday - Friday; Some weekends
