In 2005, Sunrise Children's Hospital completed a $75 million renovation and expansion effort, which is the last time the facility added to its capacity. Currently, the two hospitals have 690 beds. When the project is complete, the capacity will grow to 762 beds. Position: Trauma Research Coordinator Department: Trauma Services Shift: Full Time Days The Trauma Research Coordinator assists principal investigators in managing and conducting research studies and clinical trials per Federal, State and Institutional guidelines. The Coordinator is responsible for clinical studies/trials site operational management, case coverage and enrollment activities during the pre-study implementation phase through completion. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of healthcare-based research specializing in trauma surgery, surgical critical care, acute care surgery, burn, emergency care, injury prevention, health policy. The Trauma Research Coordinator supports, facilitates and coordinates the daily clinical studies/trials activities and plays a critical role in the conduct of the study. By performing these duties, the Trauma Research Coordinator works with key stakeholders to provide guidance on the administration of the compliance, financial, personnel and other related aspects of the studies. Qualifications Education: Master's Degree Required Degree in public health and Epidemiology Preferred Collaborative IRB Training Initiative (CITI) within one year. Experience: Experience in managing people, data, and operations within an institutional setting are required. Three years of research experience required Greater than XX publications in last 3 years required Trauma clinical Research background preferred Trauma related Publications in high index journals Preferred (Annals, JAMA Surgery, JTACS) Minimum of XX local, regional and national presentations at meetings over the past 3 years Certification: License: State of Nevada Nursing License - Required Skills: Excellent organizational and prioritizing capabilities Resourceful with heightened analytical abilities and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment Proficient in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint; high computer literacy and ability to learn new software if required Detail- oriented with knowledge of scientific, medical, and regulatory terms Ability to problem solve, organize, and make decisions Strong background in trauma research We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
