Job Description:

• Meet with customers to determine their needs and recommend the right loan products to help meet their goals
• Maintain an active knowledge base of all of the organization's loan products and an understanding of the qualifications required of each applicant
• Identify and recommend products that meet the customer's needs and the organization's lending guidelines
• Review active loan files each day to determine if any documents are missing or what can be done to help the process along
• Utilize professional judgment to determine which potential borrowers represent good risk opportunities for the organization
• Evaluate loan applications and documentation by confirming creditworthiness
• Improves loan applications and documentation by informing the applicant of additional requirements
• Complete loan contracts by explaining provisions to the applicant
• Keep loan information confidential
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, or participating in professional Competencies

  • Communication Proficiency Minimum Qualifications
    • Current registration under the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry
    • Proven track record of successfully working with multiple referral sources
    • Strong knowledge of home purchase transactions
    • 2+ years of experience in the consumer loan industry
    • 2+ years of experience in the mortgage industry
    • Ability to manage a pipeline and fund at least 2 loans per month
    • Good working knowledge of loan underwriting guidelines, processing and closing functions
    • Ability to work under pressure
