Involved in the development, presentation and delivery of community outreach initiatives, activities and market strategies to support the Medicaid business and drive membership growth.

If you are located in Duluth, MN, you will have the flexibility to telecommute* as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Establish contacts and manage professional relationships with assigned provider offices ensuring high level of satisfaction
  • Conducting routine provider field visits to distribute marketing and other plan collateral/messaging, with a focus on membership growth and retention
  • Monitor and analyze membership activity of assigned providers on a monthly basis and recommend action plans to improve results
  • Collaborate with various departments as needed to ensure member and provider satisfaction
  • Conduct market and competitor analysis to assist with positioning strategy
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Community and Faith-Based Organizations to increase health plan awareness to members and potential new members, with a focus on membership growth and retention
  • Recommend community event and sponsorship opportunities to management
  • Plan and participate in Agency approved Educational, Public, and Marketing events as assigned
  • Event logistics such as reserving space, catering, internal and external communication, distributing materials, facilities support, monitoring and/or participating in the preparation and break down at events, and other similar activities
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the programs and product capabilities available through the company
  • Maintain compliance with all Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Marketing Rules and Regulations, including State Laws and Federal Statutes
  • Complete all required department and health plan training
  • Actively participate as a member of associations, coalitions, or on boards of organizations who serve the MMA, LTC and CHIP populations
  • Seek out and communicate opportunities for senior leadership to engage with key stakeholders and organizations at meetings, conferences and other opportunities as appropriate
  • Utilize various reporting systems and provide recommendations and status updates as required by management

    Required Qualifications:

    • Undergraduate degree or equivalent years of experience
    • 1+ years of experience in Medicaid growth or community/provider outreach
    • Experience managing multiple projects/tasks
    • Experience developing growth/community outreach strategies and tactile plans
    • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Travel up to 50% of the time within the contiguous counties in assigned territory (Duluth, MN)
    • Ability to work Monday - Friday and outside core business hours, including evenings and weekends, per business needs

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Licenses/Certifications: Current MN health insurance license -
      • Medicaid or managed care experience
      • SalesForce experience
      • Established professional relationships with community-based organizations (CBO's), faith-based organizations (FBO's), providers and local Department of Health and Human Services
      • Proven ability to think strategically and to translate strategic directives into tactical initiatives
      • Objective, collaborative approach; ability to adapt in a dynamic and high-growth environment
      • Exceptional written, verbal, analytical, organizational, problem solving and presentational skills
      • Proven ability to work autonomously and demonstrate initiative
