The Utility Porter position contributes to the success of Buca di Beppo by cleaning kitchen and restaurant equipment, removing refuse from the premises, and cleaning small wares, glassware, and plate-ware. The Kitchen Utility's responsibility is to achieve and provide a sanitary work environment and maintain a clean and orderly dining atmosphere.

Essential Functions Statement(s) --- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans using dishwashers or by hand. --- Place clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in storage areas. --- Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition. --- Stock supplies such as food and utensils in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, and salad bars. --- Sweep and scrub floors. --- Clean garbage cans with water or steam. --- Sort and remove the trash, placing it in designated pickup areas. --- Clean and prepare various foods for cooking or serving. --- Prepare and package individual place settings. --- Service, clean, and supply restrooms. --- Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming them. --- Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors. --- Unload shipments; stock and restock inventory. --- Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events such as banquets and meetings. --- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees. --- Work as a team and use positive communication skills at every opportunity. --- Clean, stock, and maintain workstation throughout a shift. --- Follow all safety and sanitation policies. Additional Info

* Education: High School Degree or equivalent is preferred, but not required. --- Experience: No restaurant experience is required, but the custodial or similar experience is preferred. --- Will be required to use all sensory capabilities such as vision, hearing, tasting, smelling, touching, and speaking.
