Responsibilities
Spring Valley Hospital is a member of The Valley Health System, a
network of six acute care hospitals that provide care for patients
throughout Southern Nevada and nearby communities. Located in
southwest Las Vegas, the 364-bed hospital offers emergency care,
advanced cardiovascular and neurological surgeries and procedures,
surgical services, women's health, comprehensive maternity
services, a level III neonatal intensive care unit, and specialty
programs in stroke, chest pain, advanced wound care and hyperbaric
medicine with a limb salvage program. Job Description:Performs
evaluations, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance on
devices used in the care and treatment of patients at UHS
facilities. Focuses performance to ensure the safest and best
possible patient experience. Works independently with minimal
supervision. Delivers exceptional service to all customers.
Delivers service that meets or exceeds all regulatory requirements
and compliance. Assists UHS HTM leadership with developing and
strengthening facility and vendor relationships. Meets all
established key performance indicator (KPI) requirements
Qualifications
Education An associates degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology
or degree in electronic engineering technology and related
experience in repairs and troubleshooting of medical equipment
orequivalent military or technical training.Experience Three to
five years experience working in hospital Biomedical/Clinical
Engineering departmentTechnical Skills Understanding of regulatory
requirements of medical devices (CMS, TJC, CLIA, AABB,NRC,State,
Local)License/Certification ACI Certification Required (CBET, CRES,
CLES or CHTM). Employees meeting all other qualifications may have
up to one year to obtain required certification with signed
waiver.Other Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills
necessary to provide care/serviceappropriate to the age of the
