Position Overview:
The Senior Interior Designer, Atelier Interiors is a highly
experienced Interior Designer responsible for overseeing all
aspects of the Interior Design process. The Senior Interior
Designer will manage all aspects of the client relationship,
including the assessment of client needs and wants, presenting
design concepts that satisfy the client's aesthetic preferences,
specifying Furnishings, Fixtures, Art, Accessories, custom and
specialty treatments based on the client's budgetary requirements,
and adhering to project timelines. The Senior Interior Designer is
responsible for the highest level of Interior Design outcomes,
completing projects with accuracy and creativity while monitoring
project performance within contract hours and meeting or exceeding
client expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Promote and encourage the alignment with Blue Heron Core
Values, Policies, Philosophies, Processes, and methodologies.
- Oversee all tasks related to the creation of aesthetically
pleasing interior spaces, including space planning, Furnishings and
Fixtures specifications, overall color palette, custom items,
specialty finishes, window treatments and the coordination of
Furnishings to enhance and honor the architectural elements within
interior and exterior spaces.
- Actively and effectively utilize tools to design to budget and
increase efficiency of design workflow
- Confidently and effectively manage the client experience and
expectations by overcoming objections and providing clear and
consistent communication
- Ability to align project design with Blue Heron Design
philosophies with little oversight or direction.
- Proven ability to design to budget and effectively set and meet
project milestone and timeline goals.
- Maintain all documentation related to the Interior Design
process, such as space planning, custom design, pricing, lead
times, specifications, purchasing, invoicing and ensure that the
design vision is accurately implemented, and budgets are adhered
to.
- Work in tandem with Elite Division ID and PDM to provide input
and coordinate outlet and Jbox placements, clearances for furniture
layouts, hardscape sizes and orientations, fire feature locations
and orientations, appropriate TV wall locations.
- Coordinate with Logistics Manager and Project Manager to ensure
deliveries are coordinated and scheduled and proper notification is
given to the client.
- Be present for delivery and install to ensure all items are
handled with utmost care, client's home is protected from possible
damage and all packing materials are removed from home.
- Oversee and direct the placement and installation of all
furnishings, art, and accessories and any custom work.
- Confidently and effectively handle multiple projects at
different stages of development and management.
- Considered a primary mentor with proven record of assisting in
the development of all Interior Design Assistants and Interior
Designers. Requirements
- 10+ years of work-related experience working directly and
independently with high end clients leading projects.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Proven ability to design to budget and effectively set and meet
project milestone and timeline goals.
- Strong working knowledge of SketchUp 3D modeling software
required.
- Experience with Studio Designer & Wrike software
preferred.
- Associates, Bachelor's degree in the study of Interior Design,
