*Primary Location: *6600 Auction Ln, Las Vegas, NV, USA *Division: *Manheim *Job Level: *Individual Contributor *Travel: *No *Schedule: *Full-time *Shift: *Day Job *Requisition Number: *202105078 This position assists the Retail Reconditioning Manager in overseeing the daily operation and supervision activities of Retail Reconditioning Inspectors and Client Coordinators. This includes directing the work in an efficient and productive manner to meet required daily production volume goals and Manheims quality and service standards when preparing vehicles for the retail reconditioning fulfillment process. Retail Reconditioning - Production, Team Lead will oversee the scheduling, monitoring and communications related to the reconditioning of retail vehicles for the Retail Reconditioning Inspectors and Client Coordinators and will perform appropriate quality assurance audits in these areas. * Supervise and direct the work of at least two shop FTEs by determining work procedures, preparing work schedules, expediting the workflow, assigning duties and examining work for accuracy and conformance to policies and procedures and SLA client standards. * Review work volumes, plan and continuously monitor staffing levels to ensure efficiency, quality work product, and effective customer service; review departmental performance against key performance indicators and metrics and develop and execute strategies for improvement. * Supervise the inspection of vehicles to ensure the required repairs and work is satisfactorily completed. * Ensure employees have proper equipment and are properly trained in its use. * Communicate, discuss and resolve reconditioning goals, results and problems with the Retail Technician and/or Operations Manager. * Responsible for ensuring all services are accounted for and appropriately charged against the vehicle. * Use PT Scanner, VCF and any management tool to track production and post charges. * Monitor the flow of vehicles through the Retail Services operation within Inspections and Retail Recon Coordination, providing timely progress reporting and communication to clients. * Partner with Lot Operations and other support areas to ensure the constant production flow and vehicle movement to the Retail Shop while managing multiple operational sites simultaneously. * Interact closely and frequently with Retail Services Management and/or other Department and sublet vendors to ensure work is completed timely and to customers specifications. * Establish and maintain a close working relationship with key Retail Solutions clients. * Maintain and develop staff, in conjunction with Retail Manager, by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training shop employees. * Assist manager in counseling and disciplining employees as necessary, monitoring and evaluating employee job performance, and conducting performance appraisals. * Provide and maintain a safe work environment by communicating, monitoring, and enforcing all required safety procedures and complying with all OSHA, EPA and State or local safety and compliance regulations * Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such. Work in cooperation with safety leadership in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence. * Effectively leads the team at the location by setting an example in behavior, championing Cox Automotive values and ensuring that all employees are treated with respect. * Enforce all company policies and procedures related to employee and customer conduct. * Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear. * Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb. * Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications: * High School Diploma or equivalent required. * 2 - 3 years vehicle reconditioning, detailing, mechanical, and/or body shop experience required (depending on the departmental specialty). * Experience in the Automobile or Auction Industry preferred. * Strong communication and interaction skills required. * Competent management and excellent organizational skills required. * Valid drivers License and good driving record required. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Strong business acumen with focus on operations. * Knowledge of reconditioning operations, operational financial statements and the ability to act decisively based on sound judgment. * Ability to lift 1-30 pounds (light hand tools, etc). Manual dexterity, repetitive motion tasks. Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
